Sanyo PLC-XF46 12,000-lumen networked LCD projector
This one's more likely to end up in the boardroom (or even auditorium) than the home media room, but we still can't help but want to check out Sanyo's PLC-XF46 LCD projector. The $28,000 projector is capable of pumping out 12,000 lumens, but if that's still not bright enough for you, two of these babies can be networked together to produce 24,000 lumens on a 600-inch screen. By comparison, most home and business projectors max out at about 3,500 lumens, and many are significantly dimmer. With specs like that, we figure that if enough companies don't snap these up, Sanyo can always start selling them to tanning salons.
