Homemade Sony HC1 shoe adaptor

We normally don't cover much of the independent filming community, but we love Sony's orignal high-def camcorder a bunch and everyone likes a little hack. With that in mind DVguru has dug up a little tutorial explaining how to convert the IAS shoe on Sony's HC1 into something a bit more universal. Basically all a person has to do is Dremal a head of a bolt to fit into the proprietary Sony shoe and screw the other end into a screw mount shoe. They say it should take about 15-minutes. Cool. No word if this would work on the newer HC3 but we don't see why it wouldn't.

Any one willing to give this a go on ether models.
