Whirlwind tour of the Live operations center
The folks at [H] Console were recently granted a tour of the Xbox Live Operations Center. The first behind the scenes look at Xbox Live since the 360 launched, the article is a very interesting read. We learn about some of the awards Live has received (see the trophy case above, where's the Emmy?), how it all works, and what it takes to work for the Live team. The [H] Console team interviews Jason Coon, an Operations Program Manager for Xbox Live. He talks about his average workday, his passion for games, and also gives the old "Sorry, that's classified" to a number of questions. All in all though, it sounds like a pretty sweet gig.
