Mobilicity launches BlackBerry Bold 9780

Toronto, ON – January 7, 2011 – Mobilicity confirmed its release of the BlackBerry® BoldTM 9780, Research In Motion's (RIM) newest addition to the BlackBerry Bold series of smartphones.
The first BlackBerry Bold smartphone to come with the new BlackBerry® 6 operating system, the new device retains the familiar and trusted features that distinguish the BlackBerry brand while delivering a fresh, approachable and engaging experience that is powerful and easy to use.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 delivers a wide range of enhancements including a rich new user interface, a fast and powerful WebKit-based browser, broadly improved communications and multimedia capabilities, an incredibly useful Universal Search feature and a high-quality 5MP camera.
Users will enjoy expanded messaging capabilities with intuitive features to simplify the management of social networking and RSS feeds (Social Feeds), and integrated access to BBM™ (BlackBerry® Messenger), Facebook®, Twitter™, MySpace™ and various instant messaging applications.
The new device includes GPS for location-based applications and geo-tagging, 512 MB Flash memory and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 32 GB of additional storage. It also ships with a 2 GB micro SD™ memory card.
Availability
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 will be available soon for $499.99 at Mobilicity stores across Canada. It joins the BlackBerry® Curve™ 3G ($299.99), Motorola Spice™ ($199.99), Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 ($499.99) and Nexus One™ by Google™ ($549.99) in Mobilicity's growing smartphone lineup.
