PSA: Penny Arcade 4 is out today

Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4 is now available on Steam, and is coming soon on Xbox Live Indie Games "as soon as the proper sacrifices are completed." The asking price on both platforms is $5, though you can snag it for $4.49 on Steam for the next week.

If you haven't followed the Penny Arcade games, they've had a rather unusual development path. The first two were developed by Hothead Games. The third, initially canceled, was resurrected by Zeboyd games, creators of Cthulhu Saves the World. The same team is behind Rain-Slick 4 and, if the last game was any indication fans should be in for a treat.

The End is Here! Final Game in Penny Arcade's
"On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness" Series is Now Available!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 7, 2013 – Seattle, WA – Strange bells have begun to sound, and fur of various kinds has begun to grow on places you typically wouldn't expect there to be a lot of fur. There can be only one explanation: the culmination of Penny Arcade's "On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness" Tetralogy has been released! Today, the world may begin unraveling the answer with the immediate availability of "On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4" on Steam, and on the Xbox Live Indie Games Channel as soon as the proper sacrifices are completed.

Penny Arcade's "On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4" concludes the saga of Tycho Brahe, Scion of The Long Project, and his almost certainly human partner Jonathan Gabriel. The world has been destroyed, but existence extends beyond this mortal plane in the gruesome Underhell! The new game expands considerably on its predecessor in size, scope and gameplay. Create the ultimate fighting force by recruiting bizarre, occasionally disgusting monsters and teaming them up with the best trainer for the job! The title features a completely banging new score from HyperDuck Soundworks (Dust: An Elysian Tail, Mojang's Scrolls).

"On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4" is available for the special introductory price of $4.49 on Steam in its first week of availability, regularly $4.99. The Xbox version is available for 400 Microsoft points, which are like money, but not exactly. Additional details are posted at the game's official site at www.rainslickgame.com.
