The Queue: More crafts, poop, and chances at new race/class combos

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.

First.

Soel asked:

What do you think the odds are we will see an extension of the craft able upgrades in future patches? I'd love to see extravagant Hexweave Essence where we go from ilvl 670 to 685. The time and materials investment for my 670 pieces would be disappointing if I just eventually replace them. Thoughts? Do you think Blizz would patch in recipes?

I'm not sure that it'll happen -- it hasn't before. But, I'd like to think it would. One of my big issues with professions right now is that there's not a lot to keep them going here in any way, and if Blizzard doesn't expand the use of the craftable items in future patches, then the situation will become even worse. Or really, it won't become a situation at all -- because professions will truly be pointless.

Let's cross our fingers and hope that things will be allowed to be upgraded.

Fuzzy asked:

So, anyone else notice that the level 3 Barracks prisoner has a steaming bucket of poo with a curled poo in it?

Huh, well, I gather I just learned something in 2015. Neat.

Tom asked:

Q4theQ: What are the chances we are getting new race/class combinations in the upcoming expansion/s? What is your opinion for the subject matter?

Highly likely. I think that there should be restrictions, but it's becoming obvious to me that Blizzard is headed towards just doing away with them. They've commented a couple times that they're wondering if they make sense anymore from a gameplay perspective, so I'm not going to be surprised to see them disappear.

One of the things standing in the way of doing that, however, is the variations in the armor that would have to happen. My understanding is that it's not just a point-and-click situation to modify the older armor, and that would have to happen if all the restrictions were to be lifted.

Draeknfire asked:

I am noticing a new widget popping up on the site. On the upper-left. It's an Aol widget with a link to Aol.com, and a mail icon, what looks to be a search icon, and something else. I get a bad feeling this is just the start of new clutter Aol will add to the site.

That's actually been there for a long time. AOL owns us, so Ariana can do whatever she pleases to the header bars on our little corner of her empire.
