Adidas Speed_Cell
Adidas has a number of options for tennis players to track their fitness, including the shoe-mounted Speed_Cell ($70). This Bluetooth-compatible sensor can track your top speed, your quickest burst and other stats whether you’re in a match or practicing against a ball machine. The included clip lets you securely mount the Speed_Cell through the laces of almost any shoe.
If you happen to have a pair that supports the company’s miCoach line, like these Adizero CC Feather IIIs, you can pop the sensor into a dedicated slot in the insole. Pairing with a phone was pretty straightforward and the sensor is practically invisible whether mounted on your laces or inside a shoe like the Feather III. The Speed_Cell tracked my steps fairly accurately at anything above a moderate jog, but had issues at a regular walking pace.
