Sprint PPC-6700 a $649 software update to the PPC-6600?

Looks like Sprint is planning a new product, the PPC-6700, which is going to manifest itself in the form of a friggin' expensive software upgrade to the existing PPC-6600. The $649 software update will add EV-DO support to the device, as well as adding Windows Media Player 10 — though it'll still likely be running Windows Mobile 2003 SE. Sprint customer service was told the "device" will be launching in August, which hints at a possible consumer soft launch of EV-DO services around that time.
