Question, anyone that has posted actually bought an XBox360 for only $400? The reason I ask is that I visited my dada month ago and he tells me he bought one. I say well I hear it's not as expensive as the new PS3, what di you pay $400 + tax. His new wife replies: "Huh, try $1000 after you buy the extra controller, the wifi NIC, the online subscription, and another game." Wow, and you can't even run Word or Excel for college on it. And now as a "feature" they'll sell you a HD DVD drive for $200 more. Why is no one looking at the whole picture?
One other thing, my dad is watching/playing this thing on a 4:3 CRT 32" TV. Yeah, the 20GB PS3 would fit the bill just the same as the 360 in his case.
I only "track" these blogs to see how the cell will perform. It could determine the direction CPUs go in the future. I'm fascinated with the architecture and when applied for what it's good at (vector graphics).
Finally, I love the fact that you guys haven't mentioned that the guy in the photo is Ken Kutargi.
Anyway, I look forward to reading about the guy with too much $$ buying the first PS3 for $2000 on EBay ;)
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
