Never had an issue with my headphone jack on the 700M (placed in the same location as the m1330). I agree with your point about the red though, but it looks like they have an option in black (see middle photo above). It's a good thing though, since it's the only way I can justify this purchase to my boss. ;-D
BTW some other websites are reporting a June 26.

June 26 for the Inspiron line is correct. July 10 is also correct for the m1330. Found this out from a Dell technician.
I'm buying one of these for school.
Same here. Can't wait!
My voodoo m360 just died, perhaps this is a sign
so who's making it?
It really reminds me of my sony SZ. In terms of screen size (13.3 may have been popularized by apple but its been on the s-series laptops since they debuted in late 2003), overall body shape (the way it tapers from the thicker battery end down to the touchpad end) even the venting pattern on the bottom is similar. There's also the brushed aluminum palmrest, all that's left is for the outside of it to be made of magnesium.
I have it on very good authority that this will be released on the 10th of July. Blu Ray being available sometime after that date, as well as optional LED backlighting for the display. There was some other juicy stuff but I've forgotten it all.
July 10th? Interesting... it had been scheduled for a July 5th RTS.
Khris: Thank's, but i know how to use touch on my keyboard. And when I use BOTH my hands at the keyboard to type, I don't have a spare arm to use on the touchpad. So I don't care if the touchpad is centered with my keyboard, because when I use the touchpad, I look at the center of my (hopefully, equally) splittet palmrest. Just like I do on my PowerBook and MacBook, which by the way has a huge and much more tactile touchpad then all the Dell's I have tried/owned.
I'm not sure what the point of your "third arm" comment is. Perhaps you're too busy surfing porn sites with both hands and that's why you need a third?
Any properly designed laptop will have the touchpad centered between your hands when they are on the home row. Centering it in the width of the physical laptop makes for a very uncomfortable experience.
Resolution?
I'm waiting for the XPS m1337 model.
I have to say that this looks a lot like HP's DV6500t. The hindge curve, placement of fingerprint scanner, and sorta cramped keyboard. While this is smaller i still have to say that im not excited, i just got a Asus 15 inch F3sv and it takes every thing i throw at it and costs a whole lot less.
my guess is it feels cheap to type on. just a guess...if you tap on flat panel next to the mouse it will make a hollow plastic sound. I love my macbook pro, so solid and elegant. Dell, stop copying everyone
Is it just me, or does it look like there's dual headphone jacks on the front?
There are.
i like it as an ultra potable but this designs is kinda similar to an hp, just overall placement and shape
XPS M1330 released today. Just ordered one about an hour ago. Ship date if ordered today is 7/25.
I ordered the XPS1330 today around 3:00pm EST and the estimated ship date was 7/27. When Dell emailed me the order status, the email had an estimated ship date of 7/31. Either way, July is going to crawl by while I wait for this one to arrive!
I ordered the Crimson Red XPS M1330. But now that I take a look at these pics it seems to be pink rather than a deep blood red on Dell's website. Does anyone know if it's because of the flourescent lighting causing the over exposure? I called up the Dell ppl to check as well asking how accurate their colours appear online and they said fairly accurate. I just want another opinon from others out there.
Am I seeing correctly? Audio out (for speakers) is located on front? Had hoped to use this machine for presentations, with projector and speakers. Putting computer on podium with speaker plug coming out front is totally impractical.
