E-Lead's Noahpad UMPC gets trunk lid unboxing
We've been seeing in the wild shots of E-Lead's Noahpad for months on end, but on some fateful trunk lid likely to be halfway across the planet, this undeniably peculiar UMPC has finally arrived to an end user. Oddly enough, said user couldn't even wait to get the thing inside, and as you can clearly above, this unboxing took place entirely on the trunk of a car. We can't determine what's more interesting here -- the unit itself, or the totally cute Baby In Car sticker just up there on the right.

"Baby in car"? English is not my language, but that just sounds strange.
Its to let other drivers know that there is a baby in the car so they will drive more carefully, but i don't think anyone pays attention the the sticker anyways.
the "baby on board" stickers are much more prevalent; but both seem somewhat awkwardly phrased to me.
People are too busy yammering on their cell phones to warrant caution while driving.
"Baby on Car."
Come on, my seven year old sister can understand that without problems!
I make it a point to make as much noise as I can around "baby on board" vehicles.
pretty much translates to "i am an arsehat"
Not as much of an ass as someone who makes a point to broadcast that they are somehow special or should be treated differently for having a kid.
Anyone else notice that the windows logo on the Start button was replaced by a Tux? odd.
That actually is Linux. It's just a theme to look like Windows..
Thanks for posting! Now I don't have to see the Zune guy when i open this page!
Just get ABP.
ABP saved my poor eyes from many hideous pictures.
At least this Chinese made product is coming right out and saying "yeah, it's lead".
unboxing on the trunk?
what, did they just buy it in the back alley from the guy selling fake watches?
Lighting.
Did anyone happen to notice the phone changes?
Last time I saw a keyboard that ugly was on my Sinclair ZX81.
Hey, I've got a great idea! lets put 3 languages on one keyboard!......
It does have one thing going for it, and that is a full "flip" if it can be modified with a touchscreen you have a baby touchpad.
Though apart from the flip it looks like if you sneeze it will fall apart
Looks old to me, clumsy and big
if by "trunk" you mean boot
if by "boot" you mean shoe
This is a US based website. So no. Its called a trunk. You want to call it a boot, that is fine. Don't correct regional terms. It just makes you look like a classless dick.
your mum.
If that windshield mount is included, this actually looks pretty useful. I like how the guy mounts it flipped upside down so that it acts like a make-shift CarPC. The hinge, while understandably needs to support a whole range of movements, could've been designed better so that it's not such an eyesore, but, meh, not much worse than the other netbooks out there. It'd probably look less cheesy if it wasn't white... and those 1990s Toshiba Tecra style cooling vents up front.
+1
That windshield mount looks sweet. The laptop itself does not though.
Noahpad just saved the day!
replace the keyboard with something sane and put a touch screen in, keep that form factor because it's pretty awesome
