Pretty good marketing if you ask me. Find out there is a problem with the phone, find out how to fix it, sell the phone how it is and charge the users for the solution.
@dalex7777 I absolutely think they knew. It's a mistake, but I didn't even notice because mine was in a case the minute I bought it. I'm a clutz and I'm always dropping things so it stays in the case. After learning about the reception problem I took it out of the case and sure enough list signal. Too late now, but I may have considered waiting for new droid. However, I don't care for the motorola droid. I think motorola makes flimsy phones now. If it was HTC I'd be all over it....maybe. Obe thing about apple is that their products are easy to use out of the box IMO. playing on my boyfriends droid htc Eris is nice but still doesn't have the ease of use as an iPhone. I'm nit an apple hater or worshipper, but to me they make a good product albeit with flaws. So do other phones. There's no perfect one. I've had cell service with verizon and AT&T and alltel(pre verizon obviously) and I had signal issues with all of them. It's just where I live. I have 3G in most places I go. Even on edge I don't care cause I can still make phone calls which is the main thing..,
HP has had plenty of time to fine-tune its finger-friendly TouchSmart software, and now, its newest model, the TouchSmart 610, ushers in a fresh design, highlighted by a hinge that allows the display to slide down and lie nearly flat.

My question is did Apple know about this beforehand, thus prompting the "magical" non-conducting, non-case the "iPhone 4 Bumper" ?
@dalex7777
probably YES
