Pixel Qi netbook display replacement kit finally on sale
You've waited and waited and, let's face it, waited for this day to arrrive. Now Pixel Qi's 10.1-inch display is available for DIY types looking to swap out their LCD for a dual-mode reflective Qi display capable of slipping into a power-sipping e-paper mode that's visible even in direct sunlight. It's only certified to work with Samsung N130 and Lenovo S10-2 machines but we're sure you'll figure out how to slide this pup into the Acer or ASUS netbook of your dreams. On sale now at MakerShed for $275, the swap reportedly takes about 5 minutes using only a screwdriver. So get out of here -- stop waiting for the majors to introduce a Pixel Qi netbook, it's time to build your own and put those claims of a 20+ hour laptop to the test.

@JS
You know what hold it even if it's sensitive on the edges doesn't matter most of the time .. the software should be intelligent enough to know when something is being clicked (if it is pressed and lifted in under a second or something) versus being held .. touched for a longer time.
Now bring those 12.1" / 13.3 " screens too for the CULV notebooks :)
@sabby Ditto!
Would it be wrong to buy a netbook just so I could buy this kit? They say that netbooks are supposed to work as intermediaries with laptops like my CULV, right? Or am I just justifying it to myself that way?
how do i replace my ipad's screen?
@teapower First, you wait for your iPad to not have a 9.7" screen. Then you wait, and wait, and wait.
what's the resolution, 1024x600? and they ask for $275?
I second the above question - what's the display resolution and orientation (16:9 and 1024X600 I'm assuming)? Additionally, this display isn't multi-touch capable, right? Otherwise they probably would be touting that feature around...
Now to start building my homemade tablet prototype!
Pretty cool. Support some better machines and I'll be one to do it. (ie, real notebooks instead of just netbooks).
Where's the 15.6 inch kit??!!!
where the hell is the adam?
