Yeh mate I was upgrading from the very first xbox 360 model, the one with the white disk tray. I certainly thought it was worth it, for the much larger HDD(only had the 20gb one before) and the fact that it runs so much quieter.
I think you all are missing the point. The article stated that this new model will have 4GB flash memory and did not state anything about the HDD capacity. This to me looks like it will replace the current Arcade model in which does not have a HDD as well.
I don't think so, Microsoft is making money one way or another, so they will offer you new hard drive for ridiculous amount of $$$.
That is why you can't use old hard drive with new Xbox 360 Slim. Not enough they didn't make Drive Swapping easy like Sony did with PS3 Slim, they are overcharging users crazy amount of money.
I wish some company could create a Hard Drive replacement for Xbox and charge half what M$ does.
@jkudlacz Actually, the new HDD's are the same as the old one's just with a different shell. There's a good chance some 3rd parties will start selling the shells so you can crack open your old HDD and put it in the new 360.
Following the commercial success (and technical disappointment) of the original Wildfire -- which featured a miserly 528MHz CPU and QVGA display -- HTC has returned with the Wildfire S.

Just bought the 250gb slim. I really can't see 4gb being enough.
@TheLeprachaun 4gb of memory for a game system is a f*cking joke
@TheLeprachaun Were u upgrading? Trying to decide if I want the new one
@TheLeprachaun

@Nanosman1994 They're going from 512MB internal flash to 4GB of internal flash. Seems like an upgrade to me.
@rayonic
I do see the point of this new arcade upgrade. I just know which model I'd prefer, the 250gb one.
@rmcray08 i see what you did there nice..
@TheLeprachaun
Do you guys know what are the chances to put an HDD in it?
Could I use a 20GB HDD from an old Xbox 360 (that died some time ago) ??
@not that geeky

@Nanosman1994 The Wii has 1/8 of that.
@TheLeprachaun
When I first saw 4GB in the title of this article, I thought Engadget must have made a mistake :S
