Time to get our guessing caps on as HTC has announced it'll be having a little get-together in London in the middle of next month. No advance information is available beyond the smoky teaser image above, leaving the door wide open for speculation. Given the event's proximity to
Windows Phone 7's launch and the recent
spate of
leaks, this could easily be the date and place that HTC makes its wares official. Or, on a more tenuous tangent, if you put the smoke and "dreamt up" notes together, you could perhaps surmise that this is going to be the launch for the
HTC Vision, which has most recently been referred to as the
G1 Blaze. All we know for sure is that we'll be there when the fog of war is lifted.
P.S. - We've enhanced the image to reveal the hint of a handset hidden inside the smoke, you can see it after the break. It looks an awful lot like the back of the
Desire HD, but HTC is well known for repeating design themes across its phone portfolio, so let's not jump to any conclusions just yet.

With reduced levels and inverted, I can make out the "HTC" logo on the bottom right of the smoke, but not sure what that other bit on the top/mid right is...

okay i know this is extremely off topic but wtf... ios,blackberry, and android have all had major releases... and palm has not even leaked a rumor about the next iteration of webos or it's new hardware.
I wont be moving on to another phone because I love webos, and I couldn't live without a gesture area, the cards, or the notifications but... wtf seriously palm... get going.
whatever device htc is going to announce, will most likely be a windows phone 7 device... because it seems as though there higher end android devices tend to be major releases handled by carriers.
Android is now what windows-mobile used to be for htc, my guesses are on a diamond2 and touch-pro-2 fallow-up.of coursed they probably wont be named the touch-pro-3 or diamond3 but they will be something along the lines of a windowsphone7 device with a keyboard and one without.
after all October is getting closer and that is the rumored release date for most thing windows7 related.

@TT You probably don't want the 8672 in a phone. It's on a faster process than 8660 but far leakier. So power consumption is much much higher.
