ThinkPad's owner had one too many blue-screens of death, or maybe they just wanted to turn a humble laptop into an enduring image of postmodernist art in the context of Luddism—a commentary on what it means to "reboot" (or possibly they're expressing their displeasure with
Lenovo's acquisition of IBM's PC
business). Despite being something we'd expect to see on any given day in a Chelsea gallery (perhaps titled Das Boot), we'll save the art-speak this time.
