Steven Blyth's thesis project, The Social Fabric, attempts to create a visual representation of your social network
on your cellphone or handheld device. It uses a series of avatars in various states of attentiveness based on
"the frequency of all digital communications between you and each person." So if you've just
talked to someone, they'll be standing upright and alert, but if you've been ignoring someone's emails for the past few
weeks, they'll turn their back on you. Ouch, that hurts.
