  • BlackBerry Shifts To New Strategy And Other Smart Phone News

Approximately 5 or 6 years ago, there were two companies, which led the way in terms of smart phone technology. Apple was widely considered to be the best, but BlackBerry was a formidable rival. Consumers throughout the world loved the BlackBerry, thanks to the phone's authentic keyboard. Since that time, the smart phone market has gone through a major transformation. Apple still remains supreme and the mass majority of consumers now prefer a digital keyboard. This has taken a toll on BlackBerry and has forced them to make changes to their previous strategy. Due to the decrease in popularity, BlackBerry has decided to stop building their own phones. The company believes they'll be able to save money and generate a bigger revenue by outsourcing the manufacturing of their phones to its partners. The company's current CEO, John Chen, announced that the company would shift their focus to software development with a heavy emphasis on mobile apps and security. All internal hardware development will be outsourced. The shift comes after the smartphone market has been taken over by Apple and Android. The two operating systems have managed to push BlackBerry down to the bottom of the list. This is not the first time a company has stumbled in this very market. Several years ago, Microsoft needed the assistance of a probate attorney, after their failed deal with Nokia. Despite Microsoft being one of the top technology companies in the world, their Nokia phones were never able to gain steam. Eventually, Microsoft and Nokia were forced to go their separate ways. Meanwhile, the Chinese company, LeEco, has decided to enter the United States market. The company is truly a jack of all trades and manufactures an abundance of technological products, including smart phones, smart TVs, and even smart bicycles. The company first expressed their interest to enter the US market back in January at the Consumer Electronics Show. Also, the company recently hired the former VP of Qualcomm, Rob Chandhok, to head their North American efforts. The combination is a sure sign that the company is heading to the United States. The LeEco American launch event is scheduled for October the 19th. In other news, more and more United States residents are becoming worried about their security, after it was revealed that Democratic politicians had their smart phones hacked. With the ongoing presidential campaign hanging in the balance, the world is eager to know exactly who was hacked and what, if anything, was stolen from the politicians' phones. The need for additional smart phone security is evident. Although the hacks have been blames primarily on Russia, nothing has been proven. And emphasis should be placed on rectifying the problem, while leaving the finger pointing out of the picture. Nonetheless, the demand for smartphone security could help BlackBerry, as they shift to that specific market. Fireye, which specializes in cyber security, should also receive a boost in attention. The company became a hot commodity after the Target data breach in 2014. This could be yet another opportunity for the company to exploit.

  • How The New Next Samsung Gear VR Will Change Gaming Forever

What Is Next Samsung Gear VR? The Next Samsung Gear VR is Samsung's latest jump into the virtual reality world. Compatible with the new Samsung Note 7, the company plans to release their Next Samsung Gear VR, which they are hoping will change the virtual reality and the gaming world as a whole. How Next Samsung Gear VR Will Change Gaming Simply put, the Next Samsung Gear VR is providing a new platform for people to enjoy. It is unique from the traditional Play Stations and Xbox One's that we are so used to playing. Instead, it gives the user an avenue to experience a game like they were really there. The biggest risk with this type of technology is if it will stand the test of time. We are unsure whether or not people will grow tired of the novelty of this, or it is something that is here to stay. This was our thought before we tried it for ourselves, at least. Once we tried it, we were blown away. It was clear to us that this is far more than a gimmick. This is a new space in the gaming world that is here to stay. After using the gear for ourselves, we are excited to find out what Samsung and game developers have in store for us in the coming months and years. This is a technology that will only get better over time. How It Stacks Up It is designed pretty well. It's very light and comfortable. The only downside that we found was that it does not work with glasses. If you need glasses but do not wear contacts, this may not be the right gear for you. Other than that, its design was exceptional. The hardware is solid. It feels comparable to the Apple products that we are all familiar with. It doesn't come across as a first-generation device by any means. As far as performance goes, it was what we were hoping for and more. There was an occasional moment that we noticed bits of lower resolution, but they were few and far in between. Although the manufacturers did a pretty good job avoiding that first-generation feel, these occasional drops in resolution is one area that could use a little more improvement. We loved how easy it was to set up. It is perfect for a beginner that has never used any type of gear like this before, man or woman. The main downside that we saw was that it kills your battery. It places high demands on your battery, which they are not quite built to handle just yet. The only thing that left us wanting more was the lack of content is available right now. This is to be expected with a first-generation model. We have no doubt that there will be hundreds and thousands of new and creative games and applications that will be developed and released in the coming years.

  • Twitter's Latest Tech Updates - New Streaming App And More

Over the past few years, Twitter has faltered every step of the way. While the social media platform is utilized by a large quantity of individuals, the company's progress as a whole has failed to impress investors. In fact, the company continues losing money. As a fan of Twitter, you'll be happy to know that the company has taken many steps to rectify this problem and to turn the company around. Lately, Twitter has begun teaming up with several sporting leagues, including the NFL, NHL, and more. The company intends to break out of the social media mode, by live streaming sporting events to their users. The company just recently released a brand new application just in time for the arrival of Thursday Night Football. The company will stream their very first NFL game, which will feature the New York Jets taking on the Buffalo Bills. On Wednesday, Twitter released three set-top box applications to the public. The apps are available for Apple TV, Xbox, and Amazon Fire TV. It is also believed that future apps could be in the works. Consumers, who make use of the applications, will be able to livestream Twitter's offerings to their television. This includes all Thursday Night football matches. The mobile app also works with other Twitter-owned properties, such as Vine and Periscope. The company's future could very well depend on the success of this new venture. However, it is essential to remember that Twitter is not alone in this endeavor. Facebook just recently released Facebook Live and the feature has grown enormously popular. Twitter has also decided to make changes to their social media platform. Users of Twitter have always felt restricted by the 140-character limit, yet it has been an integral aspect of Twitter since the very beginning. One September the 19th, Twitter will be changed forever. Any web design company or other Twitter user will be able to construct longer posts beginning on the aforementioned date. Links and pictures will no longer attribute to the character count. This has been one of the biggest complaints from Twitter users in the past and the rectification should inspire more to use the social network more frequently. Many users have discovered that searching for a specific business account on Twitter can be slightly difficult. Well, this is all about to change, because Twitter has plans to embed a "provides support" feature to the existing platform. Business owners can now activate this feature, so users can differentiate between promotional companies and those dedicated to the service. This will give users an edge on which company they choose to do business with, without relying on Twitter's promotions. Twitter is also working on customer support improvement, because they want to be more like Facebook. While, Twitter and Facebook are continuously competing against each other to earn more of this and more of that, customer support services are extremely important for both. Last year, Facebook released a brand new response time and hours to the "Facebook Pages" section. This allows users to monitor how long it took a customer support representative to respond to requests, complaints, and questions.

  • The Latest In Home Security Technology

As a homeowner, it is pertinent to go above and beyond to make sure your home remains safe and secure. If your home's security is lacking in any way whatsoever, criminals will exploit its flaws to gain access to your home and make off with your belongings. In order to prevent this from happening, it is wise to take a look at the latest technological advancements in home security. This has encouraged many homeowners to make their homes smart with the latest smart home technology. Although there has been some debate regarding the effectiveness of such products, it is undoubtedly true that something is better than nothing. Recently, Stephen Schlitt, the co-owner of Coldwell Banker Paradise, explored such technology. After examining the best that the industry had come to offer, he concluded that such technology made it possible to keep the consumer's home safe, while also giving them the ability to save a little bit of money. And, it should be noticed that the sales of smart products have increased substantially over the past few years. A recent study from the National Association of Home Builders concluded that the younger generation would be much more likely to adopt the technology, while older consumers would be more likely to wait longer. The smart thermostat has proven to be a major success, with approximately 42% of homes having one at this point in time. Unfortunately, only 17% of homes have a wireless security system and only 14% currently have a security camera. The biggest thing holding consumers back from investing in the technology is its complexity. Nonetheless, there is an interest in smart technology and it can be helpful for enhancing your home's security. A recent study from a Stockton security guard company concluded that 75% of all crimes committed within the United States were property crimes. And, it has been proven time and again that the presence of home security cameras can prevent this from happening. Your home is the biggest investment you will ever make in your life, so it is only natural that you will want to protect it the best way you can. The new Canary technology gives you everything you need to take control and watch over your home. Canary is a complete security system packed right into one affordable device. The device is designed to learn and adapt to you and your home over time. If the device detects anything out of the ordinary, it will immediately send a HD video directly to your smartphone. No monthly fees or contracts are required to use the device. It is basically ready to go right out of the box. Of course, you have to download the app and install it on your phone, but that is free and easy enough to do. Once the app is installed you can stream real live video of and high-quality audio of your home. However, don't let this device fool you because it is much more than just a camera. It offers motion-activated recording, sirens, and automatic connection to local authorities. One of the most popular startup to ever take off, without a hitch is home security monitoring. This service is provided by companies around the world, as a way for consumers to amp up security around their homes and businesses. The alarming increase in the crime rate throughout the world, gives the more reason to invest in this service. ADT is one of the most influential security companies that provide consumers with 24/7 premiere home security monitoring. Not only does this monitor provide you with burglary monitoring services, but it also contacts you and dispatches the local law enforcement, in the event of an emergency. Frontpoint, LiveWatch, Vivint, and Protect America also provide security services for a low monthly fee.

  • Tech Industry And US Squabble Over Social Media

Over the past few years, Americans and American tech companies have grown very concerned over the state of privacy within the country. These people and groups have become concerned that the government is decreasing the privacy of citizens, without just cause. This has caused tech companies to lash out at the government and has even initiated a lawsuit or two along the way. In early 2016, the United States Department of Justice filed a suit against Apple for failing to unlock a potential terrorist's iPhone. The two went to court and fought it out for an extensive period of time, before the case was finally settled, after the FBI managed to unlock the phone without Apple's assistance. Although the subject died down for a few weeks, several other major headlines have pushed privacy back into the spotlight. It was announced earlier this week that the Department of Homeland Security would begin forcing United States visitors to provide access to their social media accounts, before being allowed to enter the country. This has sparked a backlash from some of the country's top tech companies, including Facebook, Google and Twitter. The DHS insists the move would help to prevent potential terrorists from entering the country and comes after the horrific massacre in Florida and another one in San Bernardino, California. Nonetheless, Silicon Valley tech companies have objected to such measures. These groups insist that the move would have a chilling effect on social media and would greatly reduce free speech online. The technological companies have also complained that the move could very well encourage other countries to follow in suit. The DHS plans to add a line inquiring about the visitor's social media to their Electronic System for Travel Authorization application. This would be a requirement for anyone and if approved, the visitor would be given the right to remain within the country for up to 90 days. However, those traveling to the country under the Visa Waiver Program would be allowed to bypass this measure. According to A-1 Auto Transport Inc. car shipping company, the new measure would have no impact on their services. Meanwhile, it has been disclosed that Comcast would like to charge certain customers extra. The company has received backlash online, after it was disclosed that they would like to charge customers, who prefer additional privacy, more than those that will be willing to give up their privacy. For those that pay the extra fee, Comcast would withhold the user's browsing history and refrain from selling it to advertisers. Those that are happy to pass along their information would pay less. In 2013, AT&T did something similar. The company implemented a $29 per month charge for agreeing to keep the user's browsing habits a secret. Both companies have been lobbying the FCC to try and enabled such measures. ISP companies, such as Comcast and AT&T make a large quantity of their revenue by selling user's information. If the FCC were able to prevent that from happening, these companies would be hit substantially hard. Only time will tell if the FCC sides with the consumers or the lobbyists.

  • DevOps and robotics merge to create 'Robotops' rule-set

From security to sushi, robotic products are beginning to create serious impacts across society's 'internet of things'. However, while today's automated product solutions are clearly impressive; hosts of developers, applying the DevOps methodology, now largely represent the human element behind this 'brave new world.' The reasons for this are simple; the ability to product rapid prototypes and relevant solution sets, backed up by fully-assured quality, creates entirely new ways to build and validate relevant 'products', without spending a load of time and money on what is, and isn't, a dry hole. Nevertheless, we're talking about robotics specifically, and recently, a DevOps consulting group decided to produce a fully-merged DevOps/robotics doctrine, that can clearly allow other thought-creators to move forward faster than ever before. According to the 'RobotOps principle' rules associated with DevOps consulting and development are based on ten primary cannons of activity: 1. Test-driven robotics: DevOps product testing has emerged as a primary motivator when it comes to the realization of rapid code production. 2. Command-line interfacing: All updating associated with firmware, affiliated devices, and other critical functions are applied via a command line basis. 3. Multiple-platform; multiple-device based: It is accepted that creating iterative code for discrete devices is wasteful, while at the same time limiting scalability. RobotOps calls for standardized code practices throughout a constellation of devices. 4. Code-generation advantages: Automated code-generation streamlines essential frameworks, and/or affiliate scripts, leading to the delivery of stable products faster than ever before. 5. Intrinsic swarm integration: DevOps methodologies allow developers to tie multiple robotic devices quickly and seamlessly while avoiding the need for additional code changes. All automated systems will be intrinsically massed as single deployments while communicating activities in real-time internal and external activities. 6. Intrinsic API capabilities: All machine-to-machine communications will be integrated by use of native API elements leading to direct or in-direct activity on-demand. All API's will be compliant with web or other necessary protocols as a matter of course rather than exception. 7. Integrated administration: All robotic code will offer the ability to act and interact via a central communications hub to mitigate the impacts of any field-based maintenance or systems fix. 8. Declarative syntax: DevOps leverages what a system 'should do', not what it 'might do'. In parallel previous developments with AI or other machine-based systems suggest that they operate most effectively whenever driven by declarative syntax. 9. Comprehensive documentary support: All RobotOps documentation will be comprehensive, and entirely inclusive. This will range from the development of operating rules, to task lists for use by third-party, after-the-fact participants. This concept will be additionally extended to direct support of systems maintenance or field upgrades. 10. End-to-end security: The RobotOps doctrine also calls for turn-key authentication & authorization or all systems, particularly with it involves sensor arrays, or the potential of hacking larger requisite communications infrastructures. In the end of the day the new RobotOps guidelines offers a glimpse of the future today, while at the same time creating a host of practical helpmates as robotics continues to evolve in real-time.

  • Shopify Continues to See Growth in Popularity Among Online Entrepreneurs

As the freelance economy continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, ecommerce sites such as Shopify are becoming more popular among entrepreneurs keen on generating income online. Shopify is basically a cloud-based platform that provides a full ecommerce store setup within a fraction of the time it would take to create a similar store using other software options such as Wix and WooCommerce. Shopify was launched in 2004 and has since then grown to become a staple for more than 270,000 online storefronts generating sales worth over $14 billion in 150 countries worldwide. Top brands in diverse industries from Budweiser to Foo Fighters are currently using Shopify as the most effective ecommerce solution for reaching their targeted markets. No wonder that Shopify is currently ranked among top e-commerce names such as Amazon, AliExpress, and eBay. Shopify has been widely reviewed by leading publications. Carefully reading a detailed review will help you to understand the platform better before you attempt to build your first store, including the platform's store building templates, its pricing plans, available tools that you can use to build your web-based store, and much more. Top Choice for Online SMEs and big Brands Shopify targets primarily the small and medium business sector, providing fast out-of-the-box solutions for setting up online stores. Its key selling point is no doubt the easy-to-use platform which allows even the least tech-savvy individual to create a unique online store complete with all the necessary retail and marketing tools. Shopify stores have a handy dashboard from where users can quickly add products, customize the look and feel of their e-commerce site, and do much more with ease. Migrating from another platform is easily achieved during sign up. The system gives you a link to import all the products from your former store to Shopify with a single mouse click. Beyond the online SMEs, Shopify further caters to high-end businesses in a premium service known as Shopify Plus. The Plus service targets large clients and companies. Integration with other e-commerce models Shopify has of late introduced a number of plugins and useful add-ons that provide users with a myriad of marketing tools and features. Last April, the company bought a marketing assistant tool known as Kit CRM. The tool is designed to assist businesses using the Shopify platform in managing their online presence more effectively via SMS messaging and interactive social media content. Besides KIT CRM, Shopify store owners can now engage with clients more effectively in what is known as "conversational commerce." This follows the recent launch of Shopify Facebook Messenger which is expected to create more brand awareness of the e-commerce platform. Shopify has also incorporated the use of podcasts to enhance its brand awareness efforts. Its latest audio podcast dedicated to entrepreneurs is called TGIM which is basically short for "Thank God It's Monday". The podcast provides an interactive platform where entrepreneurs share stories about transforming simple ideas into successful start-ups. Shopify's popularity among online entrepreneurs is, at the moment, unstoppable. Its popular appeal in the e-commerce crowd is most definitely due to ease of setting up online stores, a bountiful of merchant solutions, and diverse social media integration options. Many entrepreneurs see the platform as a bridge that brings together different products from different merchants into one complete package.

  • Technology Updates - Virtual Reality Set To Conquer Social Issues And More

As a fan of technology and as someone, who likes to keep up with the latest technological advancements, it is truly impossible to ignore the growing popularity of Virtual Reality. This technology is beginning to become more prevalent within modern society and it may very soon replace many older technologies. With the upcoming Rio Olympics right around the corner, Virtual Reality is scheduled to take center stage. Although the mass majority of people around the world won't be able to attend the games, most will be watching from home. And, VR technology will provide them with a much more exciting view of the games. Google has created a virtual reality experience for Rio and those that are lucky enough to own a Google Cardboard headset will be able to check it out right away. The virtual reality tour utilizes Google's Street View technology to take the VR user around Rio and provide them with an up close look at some of Rio de Janeiro's most beautiful attractions. Meanwhile, there are many companies, which believe virtual reality may be an excellent way to combat social and mental issues, such as anxiety. PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, is a life changing condition, which primarily targets those, who have experienced a traumatic event. Of course, it is primarily associated with soldiers, who have experienced the horrors of war. For those that intend to bet on the game, virtual reality may very well be the future! The Rush University Medical Center, which is located in Chicago, Illinois, has begun utilizing virtual reality as a way to treat this debilitating illness. The concept behind the study is to force the patient to relive the experience and potentially help them cope better with environmental factors, which may be responsible for triggering the disease. The scientist behind the study admits he believes it will be able to help the patient overcome their fear and return normalcy to his or her life. Of course, Virtual Reality is just one of the ways Road Home, which is responsible for the study, has helped veterans and their families over the years. The group, which is a member of the Warrior Care Network, tries to help returning veterans readjust to live at home quicker and easier. Throughout the year of 2016 lots of gamers have heard many discussions about virtual reality games. However, the market has yet to made for this kind of technology. All of the hardware that is required to run virtual reality is extremely expensive and this little fact has made the virtual reality market non-existent. Of course, these facts haven't stopped Ubisoft from jumping into the market. Ubisoft is a French video game developing company that is well known for creating games like Assassin's Creed, Just Dance, and Tom Clancy games. The company is the third largest video game developer in the world and still continues to grow. Will the company's move prove to be fruitful? Or will it be a major mistake and prove to be of no benefit? Only time will tell.

  • Upcoming Revolution Of Twitter - Verified Accounts & Sports Streaming

Over the years, Twitter has been forced to look long and hard at its platform. The social network has managed to grab a large portion of the market, but it has failed to parallel the success of its main rival, Facebook. Still, Twitter and the minds behind the platform have not given up so easily. They're willing to fight back and will do their best to continue increasing their user count. In order to make this goal a reality, they've implemented several key activities, which may very well send sports fan flocking to their site in hordes. In the past, Twitter made it incredibly difficult to get the coveted Blue Check mark. Only celebrities and those that were known by the masses were able to claim this status. Today, the company has decided to make the process substantially easier. Twitter has implemented new measures, which will make it possible for anyone, who has a decent following, to acquire a Verified account. Of course, users will still need to apply. To receive the tick, users will need to provide Twitter with their mobile phone number and birth date. According to the company's press release, they also admitted they may ask candidate for their government-issued IDs. As long as the user is able to verify their identity and they have enough followers, Twitter will provide them with the check and welcome them to the family. Meanwhile, Twitter is implemented new streaming content, which will undoubtedly attract a lot of male users to the social network. Over the past few months, Twitter has announced new partnerships with several sports leagues, including the NFL and NHL. Although the partnerships only allow the social network to stream a limited number of games, Twitter is taking the appropriate steps to enhance their platform and set it apart from its competitors. And Twitter's new plan doesn't stop there. The social network proved they could pull off these activities, when they streamed both conventions for the upcoming election. Although it is not known how many people turned in to watch Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump give their speeches, the stream remained steady and brilliant throughout. That is definitely good news for Twitter. Suffice to say, the company didn't have a problem with their stream and there were no cyber security issues. Is Twitter well on their way to becoming a powerhouse in the video streaming realm? The company's Periscope app has already gained a massive following. So, they're already off to a solid start. If you're a fan of e-sports, you'll definitely want to sign up for Twitter and check out the company's upcoming weekend streams of this weekend's Counter Strike tournament. The tournament, which will be held in Atlanta, will be available to all fans through the social media network. Those that sign up will be able to watch live-streamed footage and gain access to commentary, scores, and updates through the social media network. Whether you're a fan of sports, politics or social media in general, Twitter should appear more attractive than ever before. Before the upcoming NFL season, you should be sure to get yourself an account, so you won't miss any of the games!

  • Vizio Scooped Up By Chinese Firm - And Other Tech Updates

Over the past few years, several major Chinese firms have attempted to break into the American market. These groups see great potential in the western markets and believe Americans will scoop up their products, thanks to their low costs. The latest firm to target the United States and other western countries is LeEco. If you've never heard of the company, you're not the only one. However, it is almost certain you've heard of their acquisition target, Vizio. Some experts have referred to LeEco as the Netflix of China, so you can guarantee they'll make a major impact in the United States. Vizio, which was founded in 2002, is based out of California. The company is primarily known for their televisions and other consumer electronics. Over the years, they've been involved in the development of various products, including televisions, tablets, and even mobile phones. Consumers have grown to respect Vizio, due to the company's ability to deliver quality products at low costs. During 2014, the company generate revenues of 3.1 billion dollars. So, it is easy to see why LeEco would see potential in Vizio. LeEco is one of the biggest online video providers within the country of China. They were originally founded in November of 2004 and has since managed to conquer the market. Aside from their digital content offerings, LeEco has also produced products for smartphones, tablets and even automobiles. According to company records, they currently employ around 5,000 people. Despite the announcement of the acquisition, LeEco's stock actually dropped significantly. Another major tech update is the failure for technology to impact sports athletes. According to the experts at Legion Athletics, sports leagues have been forced to adapt to the changes brought about by technology, while the athletes themselves have experienced very few, if any. Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella mentioned that no industry would be changed more dramatically by the advancement of technology more than sports. This is undeniably true, when it comes to calculating scores, statistics, and analyzing instant replays. Unfortunately, there is a major disconnect between league changes and benefits provided to players. Former Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, spoke about the disconnect at the Sports Tech Summit. He confirmed that technology isn't playing a major role at this point in time. He also admitted that technology hasn't been able to benefit the athlete in any shape or form. Over the past few years, a few technological devices have been engineered to specifically help athletes. They range from wearables to cameras and generally track the athlete's movements. Some of the devices are also capable of predicting the player's next move, by implementing the use of an innovative algorithm. And finally, cryotherapy has become fairly popular, thanks to its ability to speed up the athlete's recovery. Nonetheless, the usefulness of such technologies is truly debatable. Truly, the only real benefit athletes have acquired from technology has come from their cooperation with game developers such as EA Sports. Although these games are unable to boost their performances, they have managed to put a little extra money back into the wallets of the athletes.

  • Upcoming Devices And Gadgets You Must See Right Now

Technology has continued to improve and evolve over the past few years. At this point, it would seem like manufacturers and developers would begin to start running out of ideals. Surprisingly, this has yet to happen and these groups have continued to churn out new innovations, which have left consumers jaws on the ground. Below, you will examine some of the most amazing upcoming gadgets and devices from some of the top tech companies. One of the most amazing upcoming gadgets is undeniably the bendable smartphone. Cellphones have improved substantially and are barely recognizable from the old days, when everyone was fascinated with the Snake game. Within the company years, several companies will push smartphones into a whole new realm. The two companies, which are leading the way, happen to be Samsung and LG. Both have been working diligently to transform their bendable and foldable phones into a reality. According to recent reports, LG will likely strike first with their bendable phone expected to hit the market within the upcoming year. In the past 12 months, the popularity of the hover board has definitely spiraled out of control. Despite the potential for fires and explosions, parents have still caved and purchased their children one of these products. And, the technology continues to evolve. Next, it will target the golfer. The Golfboard looks almost identical to a Segway, but it is specifically designed for professional and amateur golfers. The length of the board provides the golfer with plenty of space for all of their clubs and will give them the ability to cruise from one hole to the next, without breaking a sweat. Whether or not golfers will be willing to invest $6,500 into one of these vehicles remains to be seen, but walking may very well become obsolete in the coming years. If you happen to be a frequent traveler, you'll understand how annoying it can be to carry your luggage from the airport to the taxi. Isn't it just overly heavy? Well, if you're lazy and refuse to lift a finger to help yourself, you may want to consider purchasing a Modobag. The Modobag may very well look like a cheap gimmick and it could be, but it is set to revolutionize the way Americans travel. Wheeled luggage has already grown in popularity, but the Modobag delivers even more convenience. When you feel tired and want to take a seat, you can simply hop onto the back of the Modobag and ride it all the way to your destination. Just make sure you swallow your pride first. Finding a financial adviser can undeniably be incredible difficult. The good news is that financial advisers are taking steps to come to you. According to a recent report from Fidelity Institutional, advisers that incorporate the use of technology into their marketing scheme have 40% more assets under their management. So, what are they do? Well, they're marketing to clients through social media, while also utilizing what is referred to as robo-advisors. Yep, they're now able to sit back and do nothing, while technology guides their clients to wealth and profits. If you didn't trust your adviser in the past, you definitely won't now.

  • Gaming And More - Exploring The Potential Uses of VR

The virtual reality technology has gained a substantial amount of steam over the past few years. Although it remains in its infancy, more and more companies have already agreed to jump into the market. Facebook has teamed up with the Oculus Rift to provide their users with an innovative and unique social experience. Whether or not Facebook's $2-billion-dollar VR deal proves to be fruitful remains to be seen, but they're not the only one implementing VR into their future game plans. The automobile manufacturer, Mercedes, has found a clever way to use the technology to showcase their vehicles. The company has setup a virtual showroom in Tokyo and hopes to give potential buyers the opportunity to take a virtual test drive, before making their purchase. The showroom opened on July the 13th and it has already attracted an abundance of interested consumers. The company formulated the ideal, due to the lack of space for a massive vehicular showroom within central Tokyo. So, the Japan branch of Mercedes-Benz decided to rectify the problem by implementing the use of VR. Their showroom is much smaller and it doesn't contain a single vehicle. Instead, it is littered with virtual reality headsets, which provide prospective buyers with the ability to check out their vehicle's exteriors and interiors virtually. The venture has already proven to be cost-effective and successful. So, you shouldn't be surprised to be greeted by a VR headset the next time you go vehicle shopping. Companies aren't the only ones that have jumped onto the bandwagon. During the Republic National Convention last week, the state of Ohio decided to use virtual reality as a way to attract visitors to their state. During the event, a local company set up a virtual reality workshop, which gave visitors the ability to take a ride on a fun Cedar Point roller coaster and even zip line through the Hocking Hills. Of course, all of this was done through virtual reality. Those that attended the event and took a virtual tour for themselves admit it was very insightful, exciting, and unique. Whether or not it'll boost the number of visitors to Ohio remains to be seen. The gambling industry has had a difficult time attempting to adapt, due to the growth of technology. Physical establishments have lost their luster, while online sites have managed to increase their revenue in recent years. Some experts believe virtual reality may very well be the future of poker. More and more gambling establishments have already taken moves to transform this into a reality. SlotsMillion and several over groups already have VR casinos up and running and they've proven to be attractive thus far. Truly, virtual reality is a baby in this university. The opportunities for VR are nearly endless. As more companies continue to enter the market and more consumers grow interested in the technology, it is almost certain the technology will continue to grow and its grasp will expand even further. Unfortunately, that will only happen, if manufacturers of VR devices can cut down costs and make the technology more convenient. Until then, it is best to wait it out.

  • Bendable Phones, Gorilla Glass And Nokia Push For A Better Smartphone

There is no doubt that smartphone technology has improved immensely over the past few years. Smartphones have gotten faster, more powerful, and more versatile. Of course, the changes are far from over. After a few years, smartphones may not be recognizable. Several innovations are on the horizon and they'll ultimately purchase the technology even further. One thing that will change phones as you know them is the implementation of bendable cases. Several major companies, including Samsung, are leading the way. The company has been working to develop such technology for several years. The company has already started changing their manufacturing plants to make way for flexible OLED displays. And, it is impossible to ignore the recent patent revelation, which seems to point directly towards a foldable smartphone. According to the patent, Samsung's phone will be capable of folding and will be able to maintain its shape. Samsung intends to utilize a combination of plates and electrodes to make this a possibility. Investors are undoubtedly excited and hype has already been generated amongst consumers. Samsung's gamble may very well give them the ability to swing the smartphone market into their favor. The innovation would go further than any mobile accessory in recent years and would ultimately change the smartphone more dramatically. While Samsung wants to manipulate the shape of the phone, Gorilla Glass intends to make it more durable. The company, which specializes in the development of tough glass for mobile devices and computers, has been working diligently on their latest product, the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The new offering will greatly improve the impact resistance of the smartphone, while ensuring the glass is capable of withstanding falls from substantial heights. First and foremost, the Gorilla Glass 5 has proven to be able to survive falls from 1.6 meters approximately 80% of the time. This greatly surpasses the durability of its predecessor. And, the company has gone out of their way to test the new glass on the roughest surfaces imaginable. The conclusion of the research proves that Gorilla Glass 5 will be able to survive falls to rough surfaces much better than its competitors. Suffice to say, you shouldn't be surprised to find the company's glass the next time you invest in a brand new smart phone. Nokia hasn't made a lot of headway in the smartphone market over the past few years. Their endeavor with Microsoft was undoubtedly disappointing. Nonetheless, the company is going to give it one more try. Leaks have revealed that the company will release two brand new smartphones in the coming year or years. The phones will utilize the Android operating system along with Snapdragon 821 SoC. Other than that, very little is known about the new devices. Still, consumers are already excited about the potential. With iPhone sales on the drop, it will ultimately be interesting to see whether or not another company can steal the spotlight. Or perhaps the revenue drop for iPhones is simply a sign of things to come for all companies within the industry? Only time will tell.

  • Yahoo Says Goodbye While Apple Sparks Interest With iPad 2 And Car Project

Over the past few years, Yahoo and Apple have been known to lead the way in technology and advancement. Unfortunately, Yahoo has been left behind recently. The company's revenue has decreased substantially and this has resulted in the need for the company to sell off its patents and core business. Just today, Verizon announced their intention to buy Yahoo's Internet business for $4.8 billion dollars. The move is ultimately bitter sweet for tech enthusiasts, who began using the Internet, during Yahoo's reign. Although Yahoo will ultimately stick around in some fashion or another, it will truly never be the same. Verizon intends to utilize the acquisition as a way to enhance their digital content offering. The company insists acquiring Yahoo will give them the ability to rapidly increase their digital advertising profits. The deal, which came to fruition over the weekend, has many worried. Investors in Verizon see very little benefit for the company, while die-hard Yahoo fans are worried what could become of the website once Verizon is given control. Although Verizon has plenty of experience with Internet services, their digital content business experience is limited and their acquisition of AOL has not proven to be eventful or worthwhile. Nonetheless, some will be happy to know that Yahoo's current CEO, Marissa Mayer, intends to stick around. Meanwhile, Apple has been on the offensive as of late, due to the slow decrease of iPhone sales. Although the sales numbers for the iPhone are expected to pass 1 billion, things do not look great for Apple's future. It has already been suggested that Apple's quarterly earnings could very well be hurt by a decrease in smartphone sales. Nonetheless, the company is still one of the biggest providers of high paying development jobs and they've been working diligently to expand their business well beyond the smartphone market. Recently leaked photos claim to show the brand new iPad Pro 2. Apple has been mum on the device thus far and only let small details slip out. If the leaked photos are legitimate, they would provide consumers with the first look at the new device. The iPad Pro was released last September in conjunction with the iPhone 6s. The company's newest phone, the iPhone 7, is expected to be introduced to the market in September and consumers expect a new iPad to follow in suit. This does provide credence to the photographs, but they have yet to be confirmed or denied by the company. Meanwhile, Apple has also been working strenuously to enter the smart car market. The company had originally intended to release their electric vehicle sometime in 2020. However, the date has now been pushed back to 2021. It is believed that the push back has been caused by the project's manager, Steve Zadesky, leaving the company for personal reasons. In January, a report claimed Apple's design chief, Jony Ive, was not happy with the vehicle's progress. Nonetheless, consumers will be happy to know that an Apple car is still in the works. As Telsa CEO, Elon Musk, has pointed out, the car is truly an "open secret". You'll just need to wait a tad bit longer to put one in your garage.

  • Wearable Devices Begin To Attract Those Of All Ages

Technology has grown more innovative, more impressive, and surprisingly more affordable than ever before. People of all ages, backgrounds, and all health statuses has begun to incorporate the use of wearable devices into their daily lives. The competition amongst wearable device manufacturers has also quadrupled and this has helped to inspire innovative, while also bringing down the price. Recently published data from Future Market Insights has concluded that the sale of medical wearables has increase substantially in 2016. According to the report, shipments of such gadgets will likely surpass one hundred and six million units during the year. The revenue for the year is forecasted to increase 4.8% over the previous year and top nearly twenty-four million dollars. Several key companies will benefit most from the growing market. Biotricity happens to be one of those companies. Although the name is likely less familiar than FitBit and Apple, Biotricity plans to take medical wearables to a whole new level with the release of their ECG monitoring device. The American-based company has released an ECG monitoring device and accompanying software called bioflux. The bioflux software has already been cleared by the FDA and is approved for cardiac clinic and hospital use. The company is expected to show off their IoT medical device at the upcoming AT&T Shape conference. Unsurprisingly, more and more consumers are making the switch to wearable medical devices for various purposes. Recent research has shown that fitness wearable manufacturers can benefit equally catering to younger and older Americans. Although more youthful Americans are more likely to work out frequently, people of all ages care about their overall health and the number of calories they should eat on a daily basis. This mindset has helped to increase the popularity of wearable devices across the board. According to a recent report from Accenture, approximately 17% of Americans aged 65 and older utilize wearables to keep track of their fitness, while also monitoring vital statistics, such as heart rate and blood pressure. 20% of Americans under this age threshold do the same. Apple watches are extremely popular, but this is not only contributed to their unique, eye appealing design. These devices allow users to monitor and track their activity throughout the day, so they can utilize the data to stay healthy. Apple watches also support a large array of third party smart devices, including security systems, thermostats, locks, and doorbells. Owning one of watches provides instant access to these devices and when a sensor is triggered, a notification is send directly to the watch. The user can immediately begin investigating the trigger event, by gently tapping the top of the watch. Apple watches are available in a large array of colors and styles, so consumers can easily find one that is suitable for their personality, needs, and preferences. Many consumers are turning to Fitbit wearables to help them monitor and track their dietary intake, activities, and heart rates. These devices are very popular and available in various styles and designs. The best thing about Fitbit wristbands is they can be worn during running, lifting weights, and just everyday activities. Their unique, sleek design makes them suitable for casual and dress attire. Users can also create schedules, so they are notified when it is time to wake up and take their medications. Thousands of consumers are utilizing these devices and sales are expected to soar in the next few years.

  • Square And PayPal - Payment Technology Battle Continues

Over the past few years, more and more consumers have turned to the Internet to do their shopping. Amazon has managed to capture the mass majority of consumer spending, while PayPal and Square have worked diligently to capitalize on the money consumers spend. Although PayPal isn't directly linked to Amazon, it does work closely with eBay and other retailers online and it is widely considered to be the world's leading payment process. However, as of late, PayPal has experienced increased competition in the market, especially from the fairly new startup Square. Which company will emerge as the leader, once the dust has settled? While Square has worked diligently to try and steal some of PayPal customers, PayPal has played the defense and has worked hard to enhance their services for consumers. PayPal's latest move will provide sellers with additional protection. On Wednesday, the company announced that they would be added Seller Protection for certain intangible items, including fashion attire, hand crafts, and even art. Seller Protection is generally designed to prevent buyers from filing fraudulent chargebacks, while hurting the business owner. The move will definitely will PayPal a few points with sellers, since chargebacks are an immense problem and cost businesses thousands of dollars each and every year. Another thing to consider is investor confidence in both companies. While Square has barely managed to peak over the nine-dollar market, PayPal has continued to soar higher and higher over the years. And, analysts sincerely believe PayPal has room to grow, while many have doubts about Square's future and ability to grow profitable. Deutsche Bank reiterated their current buy rating for PayPal. Even more surprising is the fact that the analyst gave the stock a $44 price objective. At this point in time, PayPal's share price is right above $36. Analysts believe the company's stock has the potential to come quite a bit, before it hits its peak. Another potential obstacle for both companies is the emergence of TransferGo. With such strong competitors entering the market, both companies will need to work harder in order to maintain their customers and continue adding more. Recently, a potential PayPal takeover by MasterCard has been discussed with great interest. Although the prospect is interesting, some speculate that the move wouldn't make sense for either side of the arrangement and could potentially destroy value for both companies. Nonetheless, the buyout is simply speculative and highly unlikely. In fact, PayPal is often the brunt of such rumors. Just last year, it was rumored that AmEx was interested in acquiring the online payment processor. Nonetheless, PayPal is receiving the offers, while Square is simply hanging on by a thread. Square, a credit card payment processing company has been competing with PayPal for several years now. Since, 2017 Square has seen a gradual drop in earnings from $0.02 to $0.31 per share. This is unfortunate for the company and analysts are having second thoughts. Square fees are slightly higher than Heartland Payment Systems, but it continues to take a loss on transactions. The company will need to rethink their business strategy, if it expects to overcome these losses

  • YouTube Launching Gaming Channels

Over the course of several years, YouTube has renovated their entire platform. First and foremost, they brought about the innovative YouTube Red, which allowed consumers to utilize the service more freely. Of course, there was a minor catch. Those that wanted to benefit from the program would be forced to pay a monthly fee. Still, Red seems to have been a success and it did provide consumers with the ability to watch YouTube videos without ads and even save videos for later viewing offline. Now, the company is teaming up with host Geoff Keighley for the upcoming E3. As the popularity of e-sports have soared to new heights, more and more companies are jumping on the bandwagon and YouTube is no different. YouTube is expected to launch brand new gaming events in 2016 and it'll all begin at the upcoming E3. First and foremost, the company will be launching a brand new hub, which will be solely dedicated to E3 2016. The hub will give viewers the ability to scour through and watch all videos and streams associated with the event. This helps them avoid having to search endlessly through the site's content, in order to find precisely what they're after. This will be implemented on June the 12th and will feature EA and Bethesda. Secondly, the site's gaming portion will begin broadcasting an array of other gaming events. They'll launch several more gaming hubs for gaming events and E-Sports competition. Although the service isn't available yet, the company's decision to focus on e-sports definitely speaks to the popularity of such competition and provides hope to those that one day see the sport filling stadiums across the world. This is yet another way e-sports is becoming legitimized. Earlier this year, it was announced that the collegiate conference, Pac-12, would begin engaging in e-sports. The president of the organization admits the growing interest in the competitions and tournaments helps to pave the way towards the decision. With the help of Pac-12, esports will now become a collegiate activity and will allow college gamers to compete against one another in intense showdowns. Early in April, Pac 12's Arizona State University managed to capture the championship of the Heroes of the Dorm competition. Several universities within Pac-12 already engage in e-sports, so it is truly a perfect fit for the organization. With the recent boost in popularity, YouTube Gaming is currently preparing for the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo. This event is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, June 14-16 and will be aired over multiple live streaming sources. Of course, live coverage is expected to begin as early as June 12, with an extensive post-coverage brought to viewers by Rooster Teeth. Geoff Keighley is hosting the E3 show, which will be streamed live. With the announcement from YouTube and the recent Gadget Show Live in Birmingham, it is certain esports is gaining traction and it is unlikely the competitions will go away quietly. Whether you're a casual gamer or spend your days enhancing your skills, you should be excited! The competitions are exciting, whether you're watching from home or engaging in battle and YouTube will make it easier for you to do the former.

  • Microsoft And Xiaomi Partner To Conquer The iPhone And Other Smart Phone News

Over the course of several years, Microsoft has attempting to wiggle its way into the smartphone market. First, the company teamed up with their subsidiary, Nokia, to begin manufacturing smart phones. The group intended to bite off Apple's legs and conquer the iPhone. Unfortunately, this wasn't meant to be. Although the partnership was somewhat successful, Microsoft phones never really took off. Instead, the two wound up going their separate ways, with Nokia planning to target the healthcare market and begin manufacturing Android phones ones more. As for Microsoft, the company hasn't given up yet either. They're planning on attacking Apple one more. This time though, they'll pair up with Xiaomi. Several weeks back, Microsoft announced their intention to give up on Nokia smartphones. During this time, Nokia confirmed that they had purchased the healthcare situated Withings for a little under 200 million dollars. The move would see Nokia enter the digital health market, which has become popular with apps and devices, such as TheDiary and eTreatMD. Withings has become incredibly popular for their innovative products, which include scales, monitors, and activity trackers. Their products give the consumers the ability to maintain a watchful eye over their necessary vitamins and slowing the aging process. Nonetheless, the move from Nokia is in stark difference compared to their previous business decisions. And of course, Nokia plans on manufacturing an assortment of other products. They're not letting the split from Microsoft keep them down. In fact, they'll be jumping right back into the phone market, as soon as possible and will also embrace wearable technologies. Microsoft's phone portfolio will mostly head to Foxconn, but it intends to keep moving forward with their Lumia brand, which has managed to gain a cult-like following from consumers. Over the years, Lumia devices have sold a total of 109 million units. The brand sold the most during the fourth quarter of 2014. Unfortunately, the sale numbers have decreased substantially since that high point. Much of the company's 2014 success belongs to the Microsoft Lumia 535, which has become Microsoft's most popular and successful Windows phone to date. Will teaming up with the Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi Inc, give Microsoft the edge it needs to breakout of the smartphone market and finally become an actual competitor of Apple and their incredibly popular iPhone? Microsoft recently made a huge move toward changing the smartphone market. After selling 1,500 patents to Xiaomi Corporation, in an effort to help bring the new Xiaomi MI5 to the Western Market, Microsoft has plans to join the technology company to take out the Apple iPhone. This highly innovative smartphone will feature Microsoft's Skype and Office software and be available for ½ the price of the iPhone 6S. Apple's sales recently fell to the number 5 ranking, with a 14.8% drop in 2016. Xiaomi has been able to gain immense popularity and success in China, thanks to their innovative products, which include smart televisions, routers, fitness monitors, air purifiers, rice cookers, and of course iPhones. The company knows how to succeed in the technology market and their partnership with Microsoft may prove to be very valuable.

  • Looking At The Biggest Upcoming Game Releases

If you're a hardcore gamer, you'll find it nearly impossible not to be excited about the month ahead. This year has already been great for video games, with new releases including Uncharted 4, Doom, Homefront, and Overwatch. Surprisingly, the month ahead might be even more impressive. Ahead, you'll take a look at some of the biggest upcoming game releases, so you can experience the hype for yourself. If you're an RPG fan, you've likely already heard about the upcoming Star Ocean. The fifth installment to the franchise, which will be released at the end of the month, will be the first real addition to new consoles. Of course, the new game will take players for surprise. Unlike the previous games, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will take place on a brand new undeveloped plant. Another new addition to the game will directly impact the game's flow. Instead of sitting through hours and hours of cut scenes, gamers will not encounter these segments, while exploring the environment. This will keep everything faster and more fresh than the previous games, which were often criticized for their incredibly lengthy cut scenes. Another big upcoming addition to the game market is Mirror's Edge Catalyst. The parkour-inspired action thriller will hit stores on June the 7th. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs. The game is set to take players deeper into the backstory of Faith's past and the mystery of the city of Glass. Players will be able to explore an immense world with beautifully styled graphics and cutting-edge gameplay. Gamers have been eagerly awaiting a new Mirror's Edge game, since the previous exploded on the seen in 2008. The release is just a few days away, so cross your fingers and hope it lives up to the hype! Although the game hasn't been announced, sports fans are already chewing their nails over EA Sports choosing to drop Tiger Woods from their PGA inspired video games cover. The good news is that the company has shifted to the last face of internal golf, Rory Mcllroy. The company's latest game, EA Sports Rory Mcllroy PGA Tour, was released near the end of 2015, so it nearly time for a new addition. The company is also working to release a brand new Battlefield and Madden NFL 17. The Xbox ONE gaming console was released on November 22, 2013. With great success and millions of sales, rumor has it that Xbox is currently amid development of a newer version. The upgraded version has been codenamed "Scorpio" and expected to be released some time in 2017. This information was reported by several video game websites, but Microsoft is yet to confirm these rumors. Sony and Microsoft have always been huge competitors and when one company unveils plans to develop a new console, the other is not far behind. Sony is currently updating the PlayStation 4 NEO console, which was released in 2013, as well. Microsoft has plans to update the Xbox ONE, by making it a lot more powerful. The standard components embedded in the Xbox ONE will be replaced with more innovative components to the all platforms fresh. This information came from Director Pier Harding-Rolls via an email that was transmitted to CNBC.

  • A Look At Tech Startups That Have Closed Operations

This year's economy has not been so kind to tech companies. While some have been able to ride out the storm, others have been forced into bankruptcy and others have closed their businesses all together. Many of these companies were once considered to be the next big thing or potentially even the next Facebook. The first notable company to shut their doors is Fashionara Enterprises. The company was originally founded in 2012 and they specialized in clothing and apparel. Suffice to say, the market is incredibly competitive and difficult to break out in. Unfortunately for Arun and Darpan, the company's website is no longer accessible, so it would appear there is no potential for a comeback. And how about the food-tech company, Inweone Technologies? This company was founded in April of 2015 in Delhi. They raised quite a bit of money in October of 2015 with the assistance of Suyasha Sharma. The company's Zeppery gave consumers the ability to scour through menus for various restaurants and other facilities. Once they had found something that peaked their interest, they were able to place their orders, without needing to sit in line. Unfortunately, the Indian market wasn't quite ready for the company's innovative setup. It collapsed and the company quickly shifted to their focus to micro-delivery logistics. The food-tech industry has not been kind to startups. MealHopper is year another company, which was unable to break out within the food industry. The company's intention was to help locals hook up with cooks within their area, so they could obtain homemade meals. In November of 2014, the company insisted they were delivering approximately one hundred meals a day and planned on spreading to three more cities in March of 2016. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened. The company has stopped accepting orders through its app and website. It all but seems that the company has shut down completely, due to their inability to raise funds. And this comes after the company was able to raise $100,000 in 2015. Of course, not all startups are destined to fail. 3D Systems, which is responsible for producing the 3D printers, is one of the few tech startups, which has managed to withstand the test of time. And do not forget about Facebook and Twitter. Both companies were once tiny startups and both have managed to amass great popular and substantial value. Pets.com remained in operation for a little over two years, before closing in late 2000. The e-commerce company was very popular, selling pet supplies to the global market. Even though the company gained a high level of recognition from retail giants such as Macy's and the 2000 Super Bowl, it lost $300 million of investment capital. TinyOwl, a once upon a time popular technology startup that provided an innovative way for consumers to shop, has decided to halt all operations except Mumbai. • Social Media Is Becoming More Than Just Social Media

If you're been keeping up with the news lately, you'll quickly agree that social media has made a major transformation. The major social media networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.com, have taken steps to enhance their services well beyond that of a traditional social media platform. Both now offer more services and products than ever before and that is likely to continue well into the future. What are these groups aiming for and what types of gadgets will they introduce to the public in the coming months? You'll find out below. Despite lagging behind in terms of users, Twitter is still a formidable competitor to Facebook. However, the group behind the social network is not going to sit by idly, while waiting to be squashed by their current nemesis. Although they haven't entered the virtual reality market, the company has taken extensive steps to try and draw in additional users. The most notable is the company's partnership with the National Football League. The coming season of football will be streamed directly on the company's platform. This will most certainly encourage more users to sign up and use the service. In fact, it is safe to say that cord cutters and the like will jump aboard as quickly as possible. The social media network will now stream Thursday Night Games to their users. As for Facebook, the company isn't looking to the past. Instead, they have their sights set on the future. In particular, the group wants to revolutionize video games and possible entertainment as a whole. They've done this by teaming up with Oculus to release the Rift headset. The company will undoubtedly attract games to their platform, as they have done so effortlessly in the past by allowing mobile games on their platform. According to recent reports from Facebook, over one million individuals used Oculus on the Gear VR last month. Amongst these individuals, the average time of use was right around twenty-five minutes. The 21 games, which are available on the Gear VR, are also available on the Rift. In the future, Facebook plans to provide users with three hundred and sixty degree photos within their News Feeds. Of course, Facebook will have a major competitor in this area. According to reports, the Samsung Gear VR headset will ship a total of 3.5 million headsets this year and this will greatly surpass that of other virtual reality headsets. Unfortunately, both social networks have been hit with negativity as of late. Facebook has been accused of manipulating their news feed to censor out conservative voices. On the other hand, Twitter has seemingly started a war with the federal government, by denying their access to the platform's data. How these actions will factor into the equation remains to be seen. However, there is one thing that is safe to say. Neither social network is going to disappear. In fact, Twitter is making big news and it is almost certain that the company's platform will continue to flourish for many years to come.
