Ford's WiFi SUV
Delphi and Ford have obviously totally forgotten about Rockford's wireless Omnifi Auto Digital Media Player when
claim that their Lincoln Aviator SUV with built-in WiFi is the first time anyone has put 802.11b into a an automobile,
but the fact that they're even working at all on a system for wirelessly beaming MP3s to a car stereo is enough for us
to let it slide. It's just a prototype for now, but supposedly they'll be offering WiFi as a factory-installed option
by 2006. Not surprisingly, they're already talking about stuff like being able to drive into a gas station to fill up
on both fuel and tunes.

I probably was the first one to have a wi-fi vehicle. I have converted one of my cars into a fully functional permanent mobile office (The OfficeCar) with desk-top, wi-fi internet access, fax, DVD player, desk flowers and desk-light several years ago. Unfortunately I have not had any recognition except from curios passerbys and police investigators.
