USB radio dongle
We had almost given up on broadcast radio and here Avermedia goes
and makes a radio USB dongle (the interface of choice these days: pretty
soon you'll be able to have anything you could possibly want plugged into a USB port). But this one doesn't just play
radio. That would be boring and a clear waste of the fact that it's a USB
radio. The accompanying software
scans the airwaves and presents you with a list of available stations. It also lets you record said stations, which is
most probably going to get them sued by the RIAA sooner or later even though last time we checked we were allowed to
record the radio. Rebels. Oh, and they named the thing the USB Radio. Simple. Fantastic.

I've been using a d-link USB radio for a couple of years (review here: http://tech-report.com/reviews/2000q1/usb-radio/usb-radio-1.x ).
Nice product, especially when used with the top quality Radiator at http://flesko.cz/radiator.htm
Ever since their TV-98 which still brings me televised enjoyment. I've been with them even when they were unknown!
If it is DAB I say, yes fantastic, if it is old style FM/AM lousy quality I say no thank you.
There's definitely a market for devices that can smartly record radio - at least talk radio like BBC, NPR and Air America.
I would like to get one of these, but couldn't find an on-line store which sells this or any other USB radios in US. May be RIAA has something to do with this?
...is a usb radio transmitter like the ones you can hook up to your iPod or other mp3 players. I'd like to broadcast to my stereo in the bathroom or bedroom.

Is it an issue of power? Sometimes I just want to hear AM radio. Sigh, oh well.
Unless you happen to live in a country where pretty much the only radio programming is commercial trash (like Sweden). Then you'll find yourself listening to archived BBC broadcasts and internet radio stations to avoid hearing the cheesy pap that the radio stations insist on playing.
There is this new USB Radio (c/w remote control) also uses Radiator software :

Can use its remote function for controlling any PC applications.
