The translation is a little, um, rustic, but we're guessing that when the researchers at the Saint Petersburg State
Marine Engineering Univeristy in Russia behind the Blue Space underwater vehicle say that it uses "muscle drive" what
they really mean is that this two-seater submarine is pedal-powered.

If you look closely at the picture, you see two occupants (for lack of a better word) busy with either the propulsion, if it's powered by a sort of rowing simulator, or with water pumps presumably to prevent it from sinking. Either way, it appears to be best to have a couple of Olympic rowing jocks aboard (to which I would object: I'd only buy one if it were a prerequisite to have participants for an underwater bikini contest aboard.
