Review of Sony's new Clie PEG-VZ90 PDA (yeah, the one with the OLED screen)
It was only yesterday that Sony dropped their new PEG-VZ90 handheld on us and already ClieClubJp has a first look at it with tons of photos (especially of its hot, hot, hot OLED screen) of what is without a doubt the freshest Clie you'll probably never ever get to see outside of Japan.

I want one of these if only for the OLED screen. Packing my bags and moving to Japan
....As it's going to have much better contrast and no viewing angle limitations compared to an LCD. But what I'm curious about is what it'll look like outside. As I understand it, the LCD screens that still look OK outdoors are using sunlight reflected back throught the LCD matrix; seems to me that an OLED screen will have to get bright enough on it's own, and I'm curious what that'll mean for readability.
I would like to slap the crap outta myself now. How about popping an OLED into the SE phones now ..damn you Sony.
Should we learn Japanese quickly?
Hello, I'm a Clie fan, and my partner and I are planning on importing a bunch of VZ90s to sell to the North American market. We need to know how many people are interested, so that we can get a good rate. Please let me know how much you're willing to pay, and contact me here: thatfriend@hotpop.com. Please remember that the OS will be in Japanese until we are able to hack around this limitation. Thanks,
Sincerely,
ClieDirect
I have a PEG-VZ90. Not bad. Only one problem: I do not understand Japanese. Any suggestions as to how to get around this? Could I download a European language shell anywhere? Can I install an interface that makes maters a little more accessible.
Any help welcome.
PS: We have already disassembled our first VZ90. Very interesting.
