Sexual predator caught thanks to camphone
There are some people who say "it could have been any kind of camera!" but come on, this wouldn't be the first time
a cellphone saved someone's life (okay, okay, so
that was different). A Conneticut woman used her cameraphone (they didn't say which kind) to snap a shot of
the car belonging to her alleged sexual assailant; the suspect was promptly snapped up and tossed in the clink. Way to
go, camphones!

It's good to see that people are using more common sense nowadays when it comes to chasing down sexual assailants, hit and run peeps, and etc. Taking a picture not only produce evidence, but it also puts you out of harms way. Would you want to chase a bank robber who has a gun? I'd rather take a picture of them and the getaway car.
I'm amazed she had time to take out her phone, get to the camera app, compose, and shoot a pic before the guy was gone. When I had a cam phone, by the time I was ready to take a pic the moment had passed ;-(
Well this isn't the first time that this has happened. I recall there being a story within the last year or so about a girl in Japan that had been groped on the subway and took a picture of the individual and managed to get him arrested.
Some cameraphones have the primary command for one of their softbuttons set to start up the camera mode.
