Gourd iPod speakers

They come in an extremely limited edition of just 80, but these portable Gourd Speakers from Bird Electron are made
out of actual gourds, not weird plastic replicas like those fake coconuts you get to drink out of at Trader Vic's (it's
not so bad, we just thought we were going to get a real coconut, that's all). You just knew that sooner or later
someone as going to target the iPod-loving, eco-hippie market.
P.S. - They're pitching them as iPod speakers, but obviously these'll work on anything with an 1/8-inch jack.

I love 'em. I feel inspired to destruct a plug and rewire a butternut. Great stuff. But don't buy these, go and do it yourself.
Honestly, these really are quite hideous...but maybe it's just me.
