Cranky traffic lights make you stop if you speed

pleasanton

Pleasanton, a smaller town in the Bay Area that acts as a bridge between the city and Montevino, is dealing with speeders on its two-lane Vineyard commuter road. A camera about 350 feet from the intersection measures speed and tells the signal to go red for 10 seconds if it decides drivers are going a little too fast. We can look at this in two ways. On one hand, this technology could reduce accidents and train drivers to slow down. On the other, it could simply stoke the flames of road rage, resulting in some seriously annoyed drivers in Pleasanton.
