Apple files suit over the iPod flash?

Apple logo

They don't know who they're after yet, but Apple filed suit against the anonymous person or persons who "misappropriated and disseminated through Web sites confidential information about an unreleased Apple product," and who "stole our trade secrets and posted detailed information about an unannounced Apple product on the Internet" (once these mystery people are unmasked, Apple will amend its suit to target them). The big question is, what, or rather, which unannounced product are they so upset about? Until yesterday we maybe would have guessed that it had something to do with the cellphone they're working on with Motorola, but that's pretty much out in the open now. That more or less leaves the iPod flash as the only unannounced product that Apple could possibly get this pissy about. Obviously we won't know until we know, but they did file the suit on December 13th, or just a few days after the iPod flash first turned up online.

[Thanks, MS]

UPDATE: A few people rightly pointed out that Apple could also be upset about the rumors about that FireWire audio interface for GarageBand.
