Motorola V635 deets are out, FCC as usual
We're sure that Motorola (and every other radio-transmitting company around) is damning the FCC's
application/approval database about now, but hey, lucky you, the first V635 details have surfaced. The phone's an
update to the V600 update, the quiet
V620; the Bluetooth-enabled quad-band V635 has a color
external display, LED flash, EDGE data (not that we'll be able to much use it 'round these parts right yet), and a
hidden TransFlash memory slot.

The FCC database is a blessing and a curse; the information is there for anyone to grab. About the only thing the FCC will let manufacturers is set a moritorium on the release of the information to the public. It still has to go public, but not as soon as the radio is type-accepted (you can delay the information by a couple weeks). That buys manufacturers a little breathing room for "competitive reasons."
When is this coming to Cingular?
