JVC's new Compact Series and Ultra Compact Series Mini DV camcorders
JVC just busted out six new Mini DV camcorders today, three in their Compact Series and three in their even smaller,
even more compact Ultra Compact Series (what they don't appear to have busted out are any photos of these
yet).
The three camcorders in the Compact Series—the GR D250, the GR D270, and the GR D295—each have a 25x optical zoom
lens, a 1/6-inch 680,000 pixel CCD sensor, and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. The GR 270 adds JVC's new Live Slow feature
(which basically lets you record stuff in slow motion) and an Auto Illumination Light, the GR D295 includes all that
plus a remote control. All three should be out this month.
The three camcorders in the Ultra Compact Series—the GR DF430 and the GR DF450 each have a 15x optical zoom lens, a
1/6-inch 680,000 pixel CCD sensor, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, the ability to record MPEG4 video clips and double as a
webcam, and that new Live Slow feature (the GR DF450 adds a memory card slot). The and the GR DF550 has all the same
features as the GR DF450, but replaces the 680,000 pixel CCD with a larger, 1.33 megapixel CCD sensor. All three should
be out in March.

We already did that story, but we had to erase everyone's memory after we posted it.

why don't they put a hard drive in there already. Is anyone still willing wait 2 hours to transfer the 2 hours of video they just shot?/
