So turns out that Apple didn't announce an
Australian version of the iTunes Music Store yesterday as
some had hoped/expected/prayed. The main obstacle to Apple unleashing its downloady goodness down under is a
complicated web of copyright laws and licensing regimes that is apparently making it tough for them to get all the
deals in place to launch a service that would be comparable to the iTunes Music Stores found in other countries.
