US Modular releases (not so) cheap pocket drive

We don't know about the rest of you, but our USB flash drives have been bursting at the seams lately. Maybe you can get by without carrying around video files, PhotoShop projects and a few thousand 5-megapixel digital photos, but we can't. So, we were understandably jazzed when we heard that an outfit called US Modular is pitching a 2-4GB USB drive that they claim goes for the same price as a 512MB flash drive and only weighs about an ounce. Unfortunately, the price is a little steeper than US Modular would like us to believe. Buy.com has the 2GB version for $102.43. Not bad for 2GB, but that's only a little cheaper than similar drives like the Seagate Pocket, and it's still more than double the price of a 512MB flash drive, since many of those go for under $40. Oh, well. That's what we get for believing sales pitches.
