How to add internal WiFi to a laptop
If you've picked up a laptop that doesn't have an internal WiFi card, your first inclination is probably to grab a PCMCIA card, which you can typically pick up for under $100 and install in about 10 minutes. Be forewarned; this will only work on notebooks that have both an integrated antenna and a mini-PCI slot (meaning the manufacturer has included the capability but was too cheap to include the card).
