Hitachi's just announced that they'll be launching a new line of laptop computers with no hard drives, intended to keep employees from walking away with company secrets. No other details about the systems seem to have been revealed yet, but it sounds like they're coming out with a line of thin client PCs.  The laptops will be available in April for 260,000 yen (just about $2,500US).  No word yet on a release outside of Japan.
