Pepsi giving away 1000 blue Nintendo DS consoles....in Japan, suckas
Oh, don't worry—there'll be plenty of opportunities for Nintendo to do what they've done with the Game Boy Advance SP and come out with endless limited-edition versions of the Nintendo DS, but in the meantime, if you're itching for a non-silver DS, you better get your bad self over to Japan. Pepsi is doing a contest with Nintendo next month over there where they're giving away a thousand blue-colored Nintendo DS game consoles (and a bunch of other Super Mario crap).

I haven't examined one closely - does anyone know if this would be hard to do as a case mod?
Also, the DS in the upper left of the picture looks like it has a silver back to it - if you're going to change the color of body panels, do it for *all* the body panels.
Limited Edition Smurf version eh? Blue is the cooler of colors. But not cool enough to entice me into a voyage across the Pacific. Too much DDR over there.
I wonder how many people in Japan will even know this contest exists. Seriously, Pepsi has to be like 5% of the beverage market over there, if that. Coke is huge, and I never, ever saw Pepsi offered at any restaurant - hell, even KFC has Coke over there. As well, as many vending machines as are over there, good luck finding one with Pepsi in it.
i'm more interested in those pepsi bottles. they look like half can-half bottle. maybe just an illustration?
/ds hater
I don't care about the DS, but I do like the way the pepsi bottle looks.
I want one!!
Too bad I will never get a chance at getting it.
Those bottles are real. I have a few Coke ones that I brought back with me. They are basically aluminum cans, but shaped like a bottle and with a screw on lid. They're light like a can, and about the same sturdiness.
They're pretty cool when you first see them, and they're handy for then refilling with water or whatnot.
I think that no matter what nintendo does with the ds it's still gonna be the same piece or crap it always was.
