The PH-S8000T, Pantech's first Windows Mobile-powered Smartphone

Pantech PH-S8000T

Pantech does a Smartphone? We hadn't known they were even considering going down the Windows Mobile path, but they've just announced the PH-S8000T, a new clamshell running on Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. The PH-S8000T has a 1.3 megapixel digital camera and is compatible with EV-DO (which means in theory it could come out here, although it almost certainly won't show up anywhere outside of South Korea), but what really caught our eye was its 2.2-inch, 260,000 color main display. Pretty much every other Windows Mobile Smartphone out there has a resolution of 176x220, but Pantech's bumped it up a notch with the PH-S8000T and wedged a QVGA resolution (240x320) LCD screen in there.
