Security Engineered Machinery has just released two hard drive degaussers that can completely wipe out data, turning the drive into nothing more than a metal brick. Yes, that drive goes to the great RAID array in the sky after this killing machine wipes it for the last time. But you'd better have some really sensitive information or be really paranoid, because they cost $25,000. A mobile version is also available for $20,000, but it takes longer to destroy a drive. Whatever happened to a good old traditional acid-bath?
