Star Wars iPod - Pic?
Star Wars and Apple fanboys, eat your hearts out — someone's either gotten a sneak peak of the Star Wars iPod we
reported on yesterday, or they've got some… ehhhh Photoshop
skills. Either way, we still want to know what the front of this thing looks like — new colors? Give us something,
people. Although, if this is anything like the amazing TiVo
special edition iPod, the front of the unit could very well be just as un-special.

It's certainly fake - i mean it doesn't show the GB of the iPod for a start, and my eyes tell me that sith logo isn't placed perfectly.
But it's a good look ;)
@ #1
The U2 Special Edition iPod doesn't have the size printed on the back but the special logos or signatures are usually placed above the Apple logo.
Yes to #1, I'm quite sure placing the logo that near to iPod would violate Apple graphic design guidelines about safe areas anyway. :)
this is a fake made by an imbecile
Definetely fake.
As fake as JarJar Binks. Why post this so clearly fake piece of news?
What makes it so obviously fake is that the sharpness of the Star Wars "engraving" is so different from the Apple engraving. And that's because the Star Wars engraving was just tacked on in Photoshop, and whoever did it wasn't careful enough to match it with the rest of the stuff on the iPod pic he was working on.
Even i'm growing tired of all these fanboy wishes making Engadget as news, and i'm a giant Apple fanboy.
First it was the iHome, then the shuffle with a screen, then the endless Mac Mini docks that are either too ugly for Apple to ever release, or too expensive to justify selling as they would be at least as expensive as the unit itself. now george lupus and his crappy prequels get tied into what is an incredible brand from an incredible company. Even though most recent Star Wars tie-ins make no sense (taco bell cups???) and Mr. Lupus' 8000 children/test audience probably own iPods, I doubt Steve would whore himself out like this, Even though he sold out to U2.
On top of it all, some of these things are so obviously faked and done by someone with zero photoshop skills, it's sickening.
blech...
Anyone else remember these limited edition ipods?

skittles online game 'hunt for grievous' has been confirmed officially
i would have to suspect a person at endgadget itself to be the culprit of this image.
its too stupid to think that someone thought this pic a great enough hoax to send to a site, i mean a picture of the back of this special iPod?
like most people probably, we clicked on the link because of the article title from macsurfer. once here, too late!
The bottom line is, the ipod should be a standard issue item on every stormtroopers utility belt.
Hmm, StarWars iPod... would give a boost to the possibility of this prototype.

#8 - I agree, and I'm no iPod fan. What's the deal with the posting of any news that's remotely related to the iPod, aren’t there like…iPod sites out there? No problem with innovative stuff, but accessories that may or may not exist, and this kind of thing clutters up the real news.
Honestly, this may sound very obscure, but I just won one of these ipods and know its a huge collectable, but dont like star wars, and am willing to sell it in order to buy a regular ipod and keep the extra cash. My email is brfromal@ncsu.edu so, email me if you're interested
