Motorola E399 to be the first iTunes phone
We've got no pics or leaked illos or anything, but a Motorola exec just confirmed that the E399 will be the first iTunes phone. Speaking at an analyst conference, Ron Garriques, president of Motorola's Mobile Devices business, also said that the E399 (which sounds like a successor to their E398 musicphone) will come out sometime in second quarter of this year. The ROKR phone, which Apple and Motorola worked on together, won't be out until Christmas. Both phones will emphasize removable over internal storage. Garriques even disses the market for hard drives in cellphones, but then admits that Motorola will indeed have a handset with a hard drive out by Christmas.
