Siemens intros CL75 "feminine" flower phone

Siemens knows women. They know women love fashion and flowers, both of which are plastered all over their new CL75 clamshell phone. Included on this triband pocketbook accessory are 11MB storage, Push-to-Talk (for conveying that "exclusive shopping bargain," which is what Siemens knows women talk about on phones), IM, an unspecified resolution digital camera with video functionality, and a walkie-talkie feature triggered by a side key. Debuting in Q2 with the "Silk Flower red" color variant, look for two more nauseatingly cheerful floral motifs and a special edition (treat!) to follow.
Actually, the colors/design are not quite as horrendous as most other female-aimed phone designs. So "thanks" for that, I suppose.
sweet, really, only 11MB of storage? no bluetooth? shoddy-looking keys inside? i'm a woman - this phone is for ME! where do i sign up?

Maybe they understand women, but they certainly don't understand corporate America. C'mon, people, give us a cell phone with the option of NOT having a ccamera! More and more, corporations are banning anything with digital cameras. This type of phone, while cool, has no place in corporate America.
I agree with #3... Cell manufacturers need to make more cell phones without the cameras. I would have loved to buy a cell phone with bluetooth, but all such phones have cameras. And most courthouses (as well as a growing list of businesses) ban cameras for privacy reasons. Is it that hard to make a bluetooth phone without the camera? And do people really use cell phones to take nice digital pictures? Get a real digital camera for that.
Couldn't agree more with #3 and #4. Every day that I see a cool phone on Engadget my first reaction is "ah cool!", followed by "crap, it has a camera...".
I'd take bluetooth and a small form factor over a camera or mp3 player any day.
I actually find that low contrast maroon floral pattern almost masculine, in a Japanese Samurai sort of way.

From the UK. I've just got the latest version with a "poppy" design on it; also comes with a charm c/w swarovski crystal! I love it. Does have infra red so can communicate with other infra red devices such as a PC.
