KTFT intros one-touch 'pop-up eye' cameraphone
Not just 'pop-up eye,' in fact, but 'Ever Pop-Up Eye' — Korean KTFT's new KTF-X6500 has a camera eye that never sleeps. It appears hidden, but at the slightest touch of the user's hand on the head of the camera it springs to life: alert. Ready. One-touch, my friends — that is the magic of this 1.3 megapixel cameraphone. But oh, the magic need not end there, for it also comes equipped with a FAT file system so that it can be used as a portable storage device. Other features include a UV sensor (for all your UV sensing needs), text reader and emergency messaging system, which must somehow be different from regular SMS, though KTFT is light on details here. They're heavy on price, though — at the equivalent of about $500USD, you'll be paying through the nose for this eye.
