Toshiba displays 4GB audio player with 0.85-inch drive
Toshiba's new 4GB audio player probably won't get too many pulses pounding. Yeah, it's got Bluetooth, which is definitely rare in a hard-drive player. But from the pics we've seen, it looks awfully cumbersome and clunky for something so small. No, the real news here is that this is one of the first devices to use Toshiba's new 4GB 0.85-inch hard drive, which got a lot of buzz (as well as a place in the Guinness Book of World Records) when it was unveiled last year. If Toshiba is able to get these out in quantity — and we're confident they will — we should see some 4GB players not much bigger than today's flash units by year's end.
