palmOne cuts prices on the Zire 31 and Treo 600 -- New handhelds on the way?

The evidence is mounting that palmOne is close to introducing a new round of handhelds. There are tons of leaked images floating around of what is supposedly palmOne's new LifeDrive and Tungsten E2, not to mention all those premature listings on various retail sites for Zire 73 accessories, but the surest sign that they've got something cooking is the news that they've recently cut the MSRP on the Zire 31 (pictured at right) from $149 to $129 and the Treo 600 from $349 to $299 (with service agreement). Doesn't necessarily mean anything (the Zire 31 has been out for almost a year now and is due for a price cut regardless), but almost every time they do a little price trimming it's followed by the introduction of new models.
