Cowon iAudio X5: pics
DAPreview's got their mitts on the iAudio X5 audio/video player from Cowon, and while they're testing it out for the full review they were kind enough to publish a whole gallery worth of pr0n for our voyeuristic pleasure. Click on for a few more salacious shots.

Any guesses on what kind of LSD it comes with to get the "Color Sound" feature.
I like it, but that has got to be the most boring design ever... the karma may not look classy, but atleast it looks fun... this is just... ugh
umm .. are they a subsidiary of BMW???? M3 X3 M5 X5 ... can't wait to see the M6

Seriously though .. i've been eyeing these players .. they seem to be an excellent alternative to the 'white box'. Any comments on their quality .. reviews i've read have rated the M3 as damn near perfect ...
hmm .. the last portion of my comment didnt' appear:

False advertising. I see no pr0n.
This X5 is really sweet. I can't wait until it's available in the US. It has a built-in FM radio and MIC too so you can use it to record lectures etc. It also supports FLAC. Nice color screen and size too.
I've waited that model!, It's better than H10 that was made by iriver and ipod photo..
I can see the movie with it!
I've been waiting for this sucker to hit the market for like 6 months now. I almost bought an M3, but decided to wait 'till this one was released.
As for the person above who asked about quality, the M3s are reviewed with super-high marks by everyone who reviews them, usually with points off for the weird remote (which I, too, liked). The sound quality is supposed to be superb, they get great battery life, and I heard very little quality complaints in my research.
I've owned a Karma and an iPod, the Karma definitely won that contest (sound quality is like night and day difference).
I'm hoping the M5 beats out the Karma as my favorite so far, but they've gotta freakin launch it already!!!
This thing actually looks pretty slick.
That screen looks like it's getting washed out just from the room light though... I'd imagine it'd be near impossible to read in the sunlight.
i'm not too fond of the buldge on this one ... i didnt notice it on the m3 (i'm guessing it is not there i will have to go look closer) .. but i would like a color screen.. i wonder what else you can do with that screen (view pics?)it would make sense .. maybe even tv or movies (though i imagine it might be a bit small but for the every once and a while that i would watch on a flight or something it might be ok.
I think the buldge actually makes it look better because of the built-in LCD screen. If this was a regular M3 without a screen then yeah the buldge would look weird.
I don't know why people likes ipod.
I think IAUDIO pretty better than ipod.
IPOD has fewer abilities and shorter battery life than IAUDIO. IAUDIO also has good price and doesn't have to buy more accessories.
What do you want more? I don't know why...
I like it a lot, but i'm curious as to when i could expect the price to fall? Oh, and will it be able to play simple games, eventually?

I just got one of these a few days ago; the LCD is extremely readable even in bright sunlight (unless the sun is actually reflecting off of the display into your eyes). It has 10 levels of brightness for the backlight (the default is level 5), and I haven't found the need to increase it at all outside (it's far too bright in a dim room at anything above about 2).
Things I've noted about it recently:
- It turns on fairly quickly unless you've had it attached via USB since the last time you used it (in which case it can take more than a minute to be ready for use).
- There's a limit of 100 files in the directory it uses for allowing you to view text files, which seems incredibly arbitrary (and quite annoying).
I've got the M3 and i don't think i Bother buying the X5... read that it only supported 15fps on the video playback, but this may be wrong. Was hoping though if someone that have tested the player could confirm that the videoplayback runs smoothly...thanks.. I think I'll wait for the next generation:D hope it doesn't take that long time;)
