SmartDisk introduces FlashTrax XT portable media player/recorder
SmartDisk just announced their FlashTrax XT, a portable media player/recorder with a fold-up 3.6-inch LCD screen. The device comes in 40GB and 80GB versions and can receive video and other media from flash memory cards or any video device (although they don't say exactly what type of inputs it has). It also has a built-in FM tuner and with transfer speeds up to 480MBps it can even serve as an external hard drive. Albeit an expensive external hard drive — retail prices will run $400 for the 40GB version and $500 for the 80GB. Look for it early next month.
