The Mobiado Professional - Spec A coming to North America
So Mobiado is coming out with a North American version of the Mobiado Professional, their new "luxury" cellphone
which is pretty much just the Nokia 6230 slapped inside a fancy aluminum casing that sports some stainless steel
buttons and a screen made out of an abrasive resistant acrylic. We're actually not kidding, it literally is the Nokia
6230 inside a special casing—the specs are identical (Bluetooth, a VGA camera, video, GSM/GPRS/EDGE), and the only
major difference between the two phones is that the Mobiado has two LEDs that function as a flash when taking pictures.
Oh, and that they're charging $1,200 for the privilege of making your phone larger and heavier.
[Thanks, kazi]

oooooooh. Does the american version come complete with the dragon on the desktop/backplate?
$1200??? Does this thing even have a color screen?

Matt, your webpage is linked in your name. Stop spamming here. Your website sucks.
LOL!
Yeah man, unsolicited gratuitous links are uncalled for.

I'd like to see more 'high end' faceplates for cell phones. The only available options seem to be either sticking with OEM or buying cheap, thin plastic chinese knockoff cases. A nice aftermarket faceplate for my v551 that doesn't feel as though it's going to snap in half or have the threaded inserts pull out would be nice.
Why do these 'luxury' phones that primarily (only?) Nokia sells, always have crap specs??
>>Why do these 'luxury' phones that primarily (only?) Nokia sells, always have crap specs??<<
The target market is the execs who have to have their emails printed out by their secretaries. Why give the execs more features than they can understand??
Wow... very harsh response to my link guys. Just because you have the mask of the internet, does that give you all the right to act like dicks?
I take your point and I won't do it again, but sometimes I find it absolutely amazing how rude people can be when they aren't forced into personal contact.
Furthermore, I have valid feedback and a question... there is no need to call me a spammer. I'm not linking to Free mac minis or something.
Does anyone have a link to a more detailed scoop on this phone?
In answer to my own question, yes it does have a color screen even though it is not visible from the picture.
Matt,
Double linking is spamming, why add that lousy link of yours after your name when you already did it once?
As mentioned in the article, the phone is a Nokia 6230. Google it up. OR if you know "how to", you can try googling for mobiado's site too. *Shock..horror!*
seems Unprofressional that they sell it from Paypal on the mabid bla bla site, you'd think they'd have their own kind of store with credit card accepting/etc.
Looks like a rip off of Nokia 9500 ;)

By the way I use the N9500 and it's awsome
what's so lame about the 6230? i have an entire episode of family guy plus some mp3's and a bunch of upskirt shots, that's all you need a phone for.
i agree. matt should be castrated. its not being rude, matt, its common sense/etiquette. and your website does suck. the fact that you have an article about "christian gaming" is enough. then theres a picture of you taking a breathalyzer or some shit..i donno. give it up, you are not the blogking. no one wants to read italics, no matter how trendy and creative you thought it was. you may consider taking design cues from the creators of http://users.pandora.be/amazingstupid/
i take it back, that may not be a breathalyzer. it might just be a seductive shot of you abou to eat something while looking away from the camera..who knows. either way, give it up.
Hey cmon, take it easy on matt, will you guys? He apologised, end of story!
No need to call his website lousy, and no need to be unnecessarily rude!
Peace
Personally this looks like a piece of crap to me, certainly not worth $1200.

This is *NOT* a Nokia phone, let alone a Nokia luxury phone.
