The USB ion fan: predicted hit of the summer
Just when we thought we'd seen every last negative ion-spewing gadget that plugs into a USB port, we find this new toy that keeps you cool whilst undergoing your aeroionotherapy. Summer's on the wing up here in the northern hemisphere, so we've ordered two dozen. Now we can finally untether the interns from the wind-generating bikes and put them on laundry duty.

i thought we were all past the whole negative ion thing when sharper image got sued for its ozone-generating ionic breezes

Ozone is not healthy for the body. Ozone cleans the air, but causes problems with your health at the same time.

I was making fun of this very product today when I was at the Electronics Market here in S. Korea. It did pump out a nice little breeze though.

Actually I could use one of these, I just ran out of electricity plugs around my computer. I had to unplug my fan.

Interesting. If it is not too pricey, I will have to get one or two for this summer.
