It's another mirror TV
Sure, we watch a lot of TV. But the idea of watching while we're abluting still strikes us as a little odd (in part because we slash ourselves enough while shaving without the distraction of a screen). But that hasn't stopped another manufacturer from entering the hotly contested market for mirrors with embedded LCD TVs. The latest one, from home-security company VIP Industrial Solutions, has specs similar to those of the Seura model that Smarthome announced last year: 15-inch LCD (though VIP says they can custom build versions with plasmas up to 42 inches), variable mirror size, and a business model that targets the bathroom. No word on pricing; they're selling this direct to home-builders, but for a ballpark comparison, Smarthome sells the Seura for $3,349.
