MPAA losing momentum on the Broadcast Flag?

Probably not the final chapter, since it's hard to imagine Hollywood giving up so easily (these guys know how to pump out the sequels, ya know?), but apparently the MPAA is giving up on its fight to get the Broadcast Flag, which was overturned by a federal court last month, tacked onto a bill mandating the transition from analog to digital television. They're going to keep lobbying Congress, so it's not impossible that they'll get some friendly legislator with a fondness for big money campaign contributions to attach this to some other piece of legislation.
