Holux GPSlim 236 Bluetooth receiver reviewed
Another Bluetooth GPS receiver, another review. This one comes from iPaqHQ, who got their hands on Holux's tiny GPSlim 236 receiver. According to them, it's small, light, and works really well. And it apparently has great battery life. What more could you want? Well, it would be nice if they could knock a few bucks off that $169 price tag.

The model they tested also works as accelerometer mouse. The 230 model costs $99 and seems to be the same in all other respects.

"And when I went looking for the battery and realized the battery was already installed, my reaction was, "Wow, that's really light, too!""
Looks like you recieved a pre-tested unit. One that was known good!
My unit's battery came in a plastic bag and I had to install and charge it. I have the same setup as you, but getting it connected is a pain. The orange light has to be flashing or I can't connect. (which seems to have a mind of it's own...) sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. When it works, it works good! Maybe I just got a lemon.
Is it possible that your serial number is lower than 522XXX. If it is there have been a number of issues with these units and they have corrected the problems with the higher number serials.
