ASUS video card with wireless TV-out
Details are sketchy (at best) about an ASUS wireless TV-out video card. This thing first showed up a few months ago at CeBIT and now again this week at Computex and appears to be the only one of its kind. What we know is that the video card operates at 2.4GHz with a range of 100-meters (802.11b then probably, which is a poor choice for streaming video) and includes an external antenna and receiver. And when they say TV-out it appears that they mean video only — so you'll still need to tether your PC to your sound system which is likely right next to your TV anyway. For the time being, this will only appear on the ASUS mid-to-low end graphic solutions — if noise is the issue, then how 'bout a gentle mineral oil bath to quiet down that nice new media PC?
