Hush debuts fanless M series media PCs
Aptly named PC maker Hush Technologies — known for its silent fanless PCs — is going small with its M MCE Mobile media center PCs. No, these aren't media center laptops; the M series uses ITX e cases and Mini ITX Pentium M boards for a small form factor. Options include Pentium M processors from 1.4 GHz to 2 GHZ, up to 800GB of storage, up to 1GB of RAM, and a DVD burner. All models include what Hush calls an antivibrational aluminum chassis and heatpipes that supposedly dissipate heat to keep the system cool despite the lack of fans. Prices start at about $2,000 for a basic model with a 1.4 GHz processor, 512MB RAM and a 160GB drive. Guess that's what they mean when they say silence is golden.
